So now 2" mini tubs? Is it necessary to tarnish the integrity of stock eliminator any further?

Not okay in Stock and there are some advantages as the 73-74 model years are notorious for small tires wells. I had to run an 8? wheel with 5? backspace and could only fit Mickey Thompsons without rubbing, the Hoosiers just rubbed a little on turns but squeeked by, literally
