I saw BIG at the PRI show today and asked about his new adventure and I was told the answer is YES he will be racing sportsman... he was getting the charger today and hopes to have it ready for Bradenton Division 2 race!!!!!
Lets Go Racing Boys!!!!!

Remember here comes a ROOKIE!!! ( to stock that is)
But what an honor to run against such a legend!!!!

Jim Woods and I talked to Don and Jeff Garvin about running our SSSSA races next year and they were very receptive. He will be running in Stock Eliminator.We talked for a good while and he is very excited to have the Challenger, we exchanged business cards and he told us he would be seeing us in January. Jim

Good luck Don with your new ride ..( Man what a christmas gift , some bodies bin really good )....I can't wait to see some of these new cars . I bet you will have to battle for the 128th qualifing spot . This should boost the car count in Div 2 . Who dosn't want to race Don ? Thats some good Sh*# wright there a boys & girls ! You can bet there will be alot of cars coming out of the moth balls and from other Div s for those races ....Hell sounds like a good excuse to use a couple of vac days ......Ken R.............

lol man you can tell I was tired... lol Challenger Charger.. yeah well... lol yes he told me as well that he would be racing stock...
I for one am glad to hear it I think that it will be great for stock division...

At any rate, on my way back to PRI today, will probably talk some more to him today about it. Will post if there is any new news...

Yeah, maybe we'll start getting the tv coverage (if not better), that we used to get back in the days of Diamond P Sports....I sure miss Steve Evans... :(

I think it's great that Big will be running stock. I'm sure he'll have some help with tuning and dialing the car.

The things I am going to say to Mr. Garlits

I am going to spill my guts out to him.
I'm going to tell him about the sandbaggers and their whomp whomp tactics.
I'm going to tell him about the the tire smoking antics at the finish line.
I'm going to tell him about the allowance of rule bending if he is a preferred individual.
I'm going to tell him about the procedures for having Glendora reverse tech actions.
I'm going to tell him about the well planned schedule for Stock Eliminator runs.
I'm going to tell him about the advantages of getting in line early for entry to the tracks.
I'm going to tell him about the driving to the lanes technique when spectators are present.
I'm going to tell him that he has to stop by fuel and scales all the time, just to be safe.
I'm going to tell him how to give a confused look when questioned about electronics.
I'm going to tell him, when giving a spot to another car that objects get smaller the longer you wait.
I'm going to tell him about how there are more varied types of individuals ranging from idiots to smart due
to the increased amount of participants.
I'm going to tell him that he has to be at the track for more than two days at ridiculous times.
I'm going to tell him about the contingency payouts and round money differences.
I'm going to explain that it is allright to write on the windows with shoe polish.
I'm going to tell him that sometimes no one will be in the stands for the final round.
I'm going to tell him it is going to be alot slower than he is used to.

I'm going to thank him for being another competitor in Stock Eliminator. Welcome. This is a great sport that allows you competition throughout the speed spectrum. He's been there and done that. Nice to have him with us.
