Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Ya think maybe the HP number on that Seville just might be a little off ;)? Not too many cars can run 2+ seconds under their index....Is that with full power options and a moon roof? Does it have porthole windows and Landau bars? Was the car featured on Pimp My Ride? :D

Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Yea, that thing has always been fast!
Did you see how fast Chuck B. went 9.63@125 That has to be in the 50's :p Jacob |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
It's fun just reading the results, that must be a blast in person... unless you are beside a guy with a potential 12 second U car!

Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Yea, that would be really crazy

Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Sorry I haven't been posting today. We watched the 1st round of the cic, then after we ran our time trial, Larry heard a bad sound in the rearend when he shut it off. So he decided he had better swap it out and sure enough. 5 teeth were broken off. But he has it changed and it is back in the trailer for the evening. The schedule starts out with super street in the morning at 9, then stock follows.
National Dragster took a really great picture of our car yesterday. Hopefully they will post it on Drag Race Central, so you can see it. I haven't gotten any pictures yet. Will try to get some tomorrow. I met Pat Helms today. Kevin and Scott's mom. Really nice lady. She said Kevin had broken a cylinder head on his car yesterday, but he had gone home to fix it. I didn't see him go down today on our time trial, but hopefully he will be back by the morning. Ronnie West came by after the ladder came out and said "Well look at that. 2 old men racing 2 old Mopars" He and Jerry Bennett run 1st round in the morning. Well, more later. Patsy |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Super Street is in the lanes ready to run. And we are next. It is another beautiful day here in Belle Rose. There is a lot more moisture in the air this morning, but the air is reading the same as it did when we ran on Friday morning.
Well wish us luck! Patsy |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Well, Larry took a nap, and evidently the car did not like its new rear end. It wouldn't run the number this morning. There were not many breakouts this morning. Maybe it just wasn't as fast as it seemed like. There was a liitle headwind, but not bad.
Since we are going to be here all day, I will try to get some pics. More later. Patsy |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Can you say 4 heads up runs in a row? Fletcher is in a zone. He said it was too hard to race heads up. He was icing and cooling every round. I thought Bobby Brannon was going to beat him, but he was a little late. I'm just glad we beat him in class on Friday!
Congratulations to Jeff Teuton for a good job into the semis. He was excited but I bet he was ready for a beer as soon as he got back to the pits! Well I thought Fletcher was going to pull it out, but the kid Williams beat him. Congrats to Austin on his first national win. Hal Sorenson was in Tommy Gaynor's car and broke a rear end. They loaded on Jimmy Hidalgo's wrecker and have taken it to his shop to work on it. Mark Faul was driving one of the Country Dog's cars and they are going to be working on it before Houston. You will never believe who was here this weekend. Steve Haulman! 1st time we had seen him in a few years. He only lives 5 hours from here and came up for the weekend. Well we are staying here tonight, then taking our rig over to Hidalgo's and he is loaning us a car to use for a couple of days to visit relatives in Baton Rouge. Then we will head over to Houston on Tuesday or Wed. So more later or maybe it won't be until we are "Live" from Houston! Patsy |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
What was the final mileage on the Scooter ??? I know I was way way off !
What was the final total car count ?? |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
John,
Car count (I heard) was 564, and last I looked @ Pat's scooter was Sunday morning and the odometer showed 172 miles. Just sign me, -.002 Unk |
Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
Mark Faul's car is in the Country Dog shop wating for the engine to be screwed together, they should have it installed in time for test and tune Wednesday night. Mark should be a big player this week in Houston for class.
Gaynor's car is having a new ring and pinion installed tonight in the same place. Plus Jimmy is cooking two sacks of crawfish tonight, and trust me, a good time will be had by all. Jimmy and family are just some of best people that a person could ever meet. Larry |

Re: "Live" from Belle Rose
After many hard hours of blood sweat and tears, Mark Fauls new "Cajun Killer" is sitting between the frame rails. I sure hope he gets one more pass in H-town to let that "Cajun Killer" breath fire. His first pass was aborted do to massive tire shake from all of his new found power. I think the "Boys from the Bayou" Put some VooDoo in this bullet! My compliments to all the "Coonasses" involved this mean you to "Country Dog" and team!
