6396 Sean Cour Chevy 350 09 Colbalt============== 325 HP @ 2770 weight

Doug is the heavy hitter and has the Most Muscles Get it heavy hitter look at his weight of car lol

Casey Setters is most likely the Youngest and smiles a lot , hey he knows something we don't ???

Frank and Don are the oldest and we know the most but some times we forget where we filed what we know somwhere ( Phil Mandella and Tony Mandella of PMR race cars Knows where for sure )

Tom is "Mr Cool" and lives in Canada ( get it everyone )

Sean is Mr serious and lives up north he paints very well with crayons when he was younger .

ok everyone laugh , we will be here having fun

By the way where is Colin? and will Stacy McCarty show up if he can find a trailer to haul his old Pontiac >

Gary Richard of PC Richards group will be having a huge Party back east of course all needs to buy from them to pay for "The party" for being in business all these years >

Will Jim De Frank put one of his cars in GT/AA ? is a good question .
and now the final question after all the GT?AA racing where will the party be?:D:)

Just wondering what will happen IF a Ford racer builds an early 67-72 Mustang with one of those blown 2008 Mustang engine combos for SS/GTA or A automatic???? A combo like that would most likely obsolete any current combo until the AHFS caught up with it.

LOL....No but Im always thinking out different combos. I think this would be a killer combo especially when someone really takes the time and money to BUILD a real race engine out of one.

Guys,
I have to tell you, its expensive but a real worthwhile trip. If I could have been back together on time I would have hit Noble on the way out for a tuneup then vegas/vegas/pomona.

Not only do you have the races but in the off time we hung out at the Belagio n the Rio on Halloween night. That was outragious!! Gorgeous girls walking around with nothing but body paint. There was a beauty there last year with a beautiful tan and a fig leaf just painted on three places. No wonder Adam bit the apple!!! I had to almost pry Don's eyes off of her with a pocket knife er was it Philip Montiethf...cant rmbr probably all of us:eek:

The drive out there was spectacular also. It's worth the gas money to see the sunrises and sunsets:o

Have fun guys...Im going through racing west coast swing withdrawals trying to get on my "a" game for spring. GTAA that is :D

Re: The 2009 GT/AA Class Shoot Out at Vegas

Yes This is Tom's car > Phil Mandella Race cars In Montclair ,CA is doing some personal work on the car that to make sure all is well Plus I wanted Lamb brakes , Lamb struts and a "old Mans" Shifter LOL at me , Plus squeezing in the Old Pontiac engine of Mine in This small car

. Phil and Tony Plus crew are also doing some updates to the car to Phils Specs especially since he build the Quickest GT/AA Sunfire of Franks "Ice In Veins" Grossi car .

My car has a cool grahics on the car but when it was painted I suspect the wind was blowing

LOL I have been in Cold Minnosota the last three days not sure where the car is at but knowing Phil and Tony it is most likely right on schedule.

No Wonder My Good friend Larry DeForest and his Young son are coming to Vegas . Larry are you sure Your Son is old enought to drive The last time i can remember he was a very young kid , or maybe You are getting older and trying to catch up to me .Any way it was cold in Minn .:D:);)

Re: The 2009 GT/AA Class Shoot Out at Vegas

Well doesnt everyone know that a small block doesnt get its HP with cubic inches? That is why comp is mostly small motors as most people cant compete with the tinker toy bottom end. If cubic inches was where it was at, everyone in comp would be running 500 cu inches.

Franks combo was derated due to only having 220 intake runner ccs. The earlier motor had about 30 more, and you all know those big motors need ccs to make the big power. Otherwise they run out of breath. I did find it funny that Don and I were rated 325HP the same as the BBC with less compression, inline valves instead of splayed valves, smaller bore, and only 188 intake runner ccs. Talking about a big motor running out of breath!

That is why the SBC also run so good. They actually have more cc's from the NHRA cc fairy than what they actually need! Damn I wonder how fast the Pontiacs would be if they had that luxury? I would say I would make at least 100 more dyno HP.

Just thought I would point out some interesting facts, GTAA is way cool.

Alex, do those new Fords actually have Blowers? Or are they just like my high school girl friend where I kept telling her that blow was just an expression? Wait till we build our blown GTAA Pontiac engine!

It seems that Stacy McCarty is coming to Vegas to bracket race in GT/AA It will take about 40 or so cups of coffee to get him here last time he set the record in the most coffee drank while getting to a race

. Now we have a lot a few cars from East of Arizona which is good .

let the Fun Began . The first meeting will be the first round of Class then we will all decide if there will be a bye , In order to be fair I think the oldest person , and a rookie in this class , with a never ran before car should get the bye , just thinking out loud > LOL:):D:cool:

Latest Update on my new car needs a different drive line and I had to convince Phil and Tony at PMR Race Cars to set the rev limiter at 7000 rpms . LOL We did put a street gear in the car in case it has no power and won't run to drive it on the streets as we use the race car to pull out palm trees during the off season in the summer here in Arizona. LOL

Since no one fits the required qualifications to get a bye first round in GT/AA I have made a decision on first Round we will ladder the whole deal like it should be so now everyone can have some fun shutting off or all out your call . The First round of Class will count for the number one qualifier in GT/AA , just like NHRA does . Any one who in GT/AA has a problem with this e-mail me with a reason that you don't want to ladder ?

Dear Don,
Gosh Ive only known you for twenty years could u atleast spell my name right? :cool:lol

Hey is that bye run an age before beauty thing? You might win the bye on both counts with that scenario...not sure!:D

On the cubic inch vs hp factor thing, seems there are classes that the sbc's cant dominate. Just like you see them rarely in duallys or motorhomes. Hmm wonder why? Honda engines are more efficient than sbc's also but I guess they dont make GTAA either, nor do junior dragster engines

Isnt that the whole reason for class racing and the reason for the large span of catagories? Twinkie is as twinkie gets i say. lol

Las Vegas Super Stock, Stock class eliminations to run Thursday
Tuesday, October 20, 2009

NHRA has announced a scheduling change for Stock and Super Stock class eliminations at the upcoming Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, Oct. 29-Nov. 1 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Due to a total pre-entry in excess of 700 cars, including more than 130 entries each in Stock and Super Stock, it has become necessary to run Stock and Super Stock class eliminations Thursday. All Stock and Super Stock competitors will be given one qualifying run Thursday morning with round one of class eliminations scheduled for approximately noon Thursday to avoid the potential of cold temperatures in the evening.

Tech and registration are still open all day Thursday.

On a side note My "new" car is just getting done as Phillip, Tony and (Phil The Boss LOL)at PMR Race Cars in Montclair., CA
have been woking very hard on getting the car done for the Fun. Test n Tune runs in Vegas. Me Don Kennedy( the one who is happy with his new GT/AA car build by Phil )

Don, its seems you are stating that your new car was built at PMR. Actually I witnessed that car being built at Mailloux Chassis., along side of Arle Vanke's SS/A Cuda. (where recently the Drag Pak Challenger # 0I8 was built). I understand the car recently went to Phil's to get personal updates, (shocks, brakes, struts, shifter and true Pontiac power), but don't you think you should give credit where credit is due?
All the same, being the car was built in Belle River Ontario Canada, we are all cheering for you to do well down in Vegas.
If you have any questions about the car contact Andre at www.maillouxchassis.com or call him at 519-727-5505.

Tom
