Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
The 360 is in H/S or H/SA. Thats about 3350 lbs, but with my large body, it may wind up in I/SA.

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Should be some of those turned into SS cars, I would expect. After hearing some of the engine specs, they should make some killer SS cars.

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Irv,
I have to ask, what did you go across the scales at when you went fast at Memphis? I have heard numbers thrown around that were 200 lbs either way. How light has anyone been able to get one of these cars? Ours is 90% done with fab and off to paint on he 18th. We should have it home in the great Northwest by Jan 1 and hope to be testing in Feb. |
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners

Cool, I updated the list....
Privatley I would like to build a contact list for all the other DP owners, email and phone, for use by other DP owners....many of us have some of the numbers if anyone has any and wants to send them to me so I can compile the list, THEY WILL NOT BE POSTED, the list will then be updated and sent to the DP owners who we have contact info for... Were not sure yet itll depend on how the car wrings out I guess. Looking good on schedule, about a week behind where Id like to be, the time isnt the issue , its a couple of parts....that I HAVE to have in (for my sanity) before wringing the car out all the way, I dont have to have them but they will be run at Pomona and I need a good 2 weeks to dial the car in, lots of unknowns for us....Hopefully we wont do what we did to this motor of ours in testing.........:) I dont know that 4 days from the end of testing is enough to do another motor, if I cant get in the parts I want now.... This was a NEW Crate 5.7 from last year had less than 5 miles.....we knew it would go we just needed to know how fast....the pistons are down to the first ringlands on 5 cylinders, the chunks are the valve seats, it swallowed em all at the same time, but it answered the question about stock valve seats and their install.....bottom end is still good (less pistons of course) and itll actually be our 5.7 combo block. Need a few boat anchors, I got 2 heads like that :) http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2733/...2ccc4719ff.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2738/...901d818027.jpg |
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Are those valves?
I think Con Edison power company is missing some manholes. LOL |
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Nope....noone has provided any new info..
I do know #52 is up on Ebay....it looks like hes in the same boat a couple of people who ordered them are, he cant finish the car, the Car is less than 1/2 the cost of a complete track ready animal, and well....I feel for him, I cant imagine not being able to do this car after waiting 14 months for it. The only update I have is it looks like there will be 100 2009's and a real good chance at least 50 2010's I do have several names on a "private list" that the owners have asked not to be identified yet.... Do you know of any ? Quote:

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
I thought it was in the low 20's. It was next to mine. I thought 22 or 24, but that might be wrong. I thought it had a 6.1. Maybe it did. Mine had a 6.1 and it now has a 5.9.
|
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Hmmm...were 24....and I know who has 27,28....cant post it though Lofgrens got 22. So only 23 is unnacounted for....I "Hear" the other one in the 20's is for sale....so 23 Maybe ? The other 5.7's are later in the run.
Hmmm....dying to know...if hes 23 I dont feel bad he beat us in a build, if hes 35 Im annoyed but they have more than 1 person working on it so.......unlike here....where its pretty much me and the old man (that only counts as 1 around here as we never manage to work at the same time , rather take turns standing over each other and critiquing work :) Works for us..... Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Good catch I missed that otherwise Ida asked the Mopar guys yesterday since the car has been debuted and is in the world.....

http://www.mecum.com/auctions/lot_detail.cfm?LOT_ID=FL0110-88895 Don't have my list to see if I have who's it is......... |
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
A 6.1 listed as "no reserve"...this could be interesting. Might have to run down to the Orlando area to see how it goes.
|
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
There is one on Ebay right now as well....#52
At "no reserve" as well http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT There are a couple others floating at mid 50's Unfortunatley, the people are in the boat it takes more to finish these than expected. unfortunate for them, I cant imagine waiting 14 months to get one, then realize you cant finish it........what a bummer.... I told the old man from minute 1 itll cost 100k to buy and do the car right....he said nah....maybe 75......well.....weve been frugal and itll be somewhere between. Im suprised a "tuner" or someone who builds high end restomod type stuff hasnt bought one an put it in street trim for shows etc.....like the 1320 Oh and If anyone in that arena is interested I found someone who makes Billet, Water 6.1 blocks......nifty stuff....:) And less than the Mopar alloy 426 block. Just a thought!
Wouldn't it be neat if Ken Montgomery had a new Challenger Drag Pack to go with his original owner A990 65 car and his original owner 68 Hemi Barracuda. |
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
#52 6.1 MTX just sold for $44,301.99
|
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
I think 13 is sold. That number had a specific purpose to the purchaser. Details later.
|
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Jeff, can you and other DP owners review the list (first post) and send me or post here any Updates, or Corrections you are aware of of publically disclosed owners ?
I have a list of people who want to remain unknown....but Im starting to think the PUBLIC list should be more full....after talking to a couple people today....my brain isnt working , the hospital here is rotting something already rotten... Thanks Chris Quote:

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Number 13 is on ebay right now 250561351738 starting bid 55,000
|
Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
#13 started at $85,000 a few months back. Its now down to $55,000 and still no bidder's. I think #52 just set the price index.

Re: Challenger Drag Pak Owners
Has the Doud Duel A/SA car be accounted for. I know form the reports from last year that it ran Div 3 Points meet at Indy as well as some other Div 3 meets. Believe that the Duel familty had a dealership in evansville,Ind, but that their dealership was one that was not kept open with the "New Dodge" alliances.
