SuperStock Q1 -- Air changed big -- went from -300' during Stock to plus 500 DA during S/S .... Several drivers headed for the wall or the centerline during that round for unknown reasons ."Rapid Ronnie" Morehead at 9.89 and a very clean run -- Marc LeBreque wih his GT Truck tried to take out the centerline ..........

Notes -- Parker with his H/SA on the pole at -1.118 ....Twynam - B/S with a nice pass of -1.094 ... Al Mark -- A/SA with a best ever pass of10.19 only to find himself on page two as there are a lot of fast cars here -- so far 71 entries and counting .. Steve Calabro trying his luck in A/SA this weekend --- with the weight in his Corvette its acting more like a consistant racer .Gary Richard - our race sponser - made a very nice C/SA pass of 10.33 .A total of 14 cars made it past one second under .................Stock Q2 coming up ............

After second round of everything tonight is done nothing else will go on -- resume tomorrow morning -- worked out well for me as I'm typing this while on a New Jersey Transit train -- meeting up with my wife in Atlantic City for a quiet dinner -- it sure is hard to type while riding - how do commuters do it everyday ? You're on your own from here ........ BTW - for those of you wondering what happened to Ken Meile -- after making his best run ever in his old school CJ he noticed a problem with his engine and decided it was a prudent move not to run it again without further inspection . |

You did a great job today. You deserve a nice quiet meal with Deb. Try the Cabernet Sauvignon with your lean cut, 16 oz.NYC Filet Mignon. Good luck at the tables. BTW: When you say Ficacci won, you need to be a little more specific!! LOL... Is brother Miele still in?? Jimmie C. |

Re: Live from Atco, NJ ... National Open
One little tidbit of good luck I had yesterday and forgot to mention - while waiting in line to enter the track yesterday morning-- we were about 5 or 7 cars back from the gate when I noticed everyone was going around a car so I did the same when we got to it - as I was going past the driver motioned to me and I thought maybe he needed a battery jump or a push so I pulled up next to him and opened the window - much to my surprise he asked if I needed a ticket to get in and I answered how much -- again I was surprised when he said free -- some days its just your turn - yesterday was mine - its the small things that count - thanks to the stranger in the 90's Buick Century whoever you are ! ! !

Re: Live from Atco, NJ ... National Open
Wow, I knew Red was coming out soon but Billy Bellofato in NHRA, what a great surprise and cool car. My mom had a 65 Valliant with a 225 and I couldn't believe how quick it was for a six. I can't resist telling an old Billy story. Back in the early to mid 70s Billy used to race a nice clean Duster with a 340 I think at Hampton Raceway, it was maybe a mid 12 second car. He towed it to the track with a severely rusted slant six 62 Valliant or Dart wagon, the one that had the spare tire look on the trunk. One day my buddy tapped me on the shoulder and said LOOK. We saw Billy towing the wagon into Hampton with the Duster and yes the wagon had the 340 and all the rust, the Duster had the slant six, thats when we knew Billy had character, Paul.
