Personally I think the DP's and Mustang's belong in SS but they aren't. Mandie (who I think is the brains of the team) and Drooze have made a good choice and obviously put in a lot of work and they deserve what they accomplished.

Mandie is better looking than the other two.

New Poll.....

Blonde Mandie.......:)
or
Brunette Mandie..........:)

I like the blonde look personally so I'm going with blonde

Pretty girls are hard to resist and Drooze is using this ploy to win votes and gain support over his naysayers.....

It looks like it's working judging from the responses and pictures......

Why are you so hard on Drooze? He isnt the problem any more than Bob Shaw is. Bob can go 1.80 under or more in U/SA. WHy dont you bash him?

Like I said before Chris I wish you the best at getting that car into the Nine second
zone, But the Challenge is still there if you do it at a National Event and with the 5.7
combo, and the sooner the better btw. I will buy you a few cold one's the next time
you come out West when the job is done. Thx, And also a large group of Pontiac
racers are cheering you on still, So go for it, GET R DONE

The brunette looks a tad evil. I live with one like that, no matter what color her hair happens to be at the time.

I agree, she said it was too hard on her hair however, but starting Indy Drema may be back with us ?? Shes got a new undergarment for her fishnet... Now to fit all 3 of us in a hotel room......hmmmm.....oh well if thats the hardest thing I have to wrangle a solution to this week Im a lucky man.

But Mandie, well I told her today when she leaves us I think I might just cry. Shes wicked smart, and wow, well, amazing in every way. I have never met anyone that wakes up singing into the new day.

Anybody else here remember the words to "Brick House" by the Commodores...(Lionel Ritchies version was a bit different) "she makes an old man wish for younger days"......

Some days around here, it's pretty tough not to ...........

Probably because not many U/SA cars show up at the same race except for maybe INDY. After he qualifies its just a bracket race to him. There are many more AA thru C cars running at any one event making for more of a chance for heads up runs. The higher class car get more attention from other racers and spectators also. He (Bob) would just dig thru the guide to find another misplaced under rated combo anyway to build on the cheap. Just my 2 1/2 cents.

Where's your sense of humor Herb? I wasn't being hard on him...it was meant as a joke.....

My opinion about the DP's or Mustangs has nothing to do with this post.....I wasn't bashing anyone......Just having some fun......

I know the newest car combos are putting down some smokin' et's and speeds, but the time tested combos are the ones still bringing home the bacon....time will tell, and when a new car wins it all, (and it should happen sometime real soon) the fur should really start to fly around here...Remember, some of those older /fastest combos are still way under-rated as well.....so maybe it's time to re-factor everything. Just another .02 cents worth.....:D WJ

I think it all depends on how they win it. If a CJ/DP car wins a race without any heads-up races, why should that bother anybody?

Which do you think would cause more "fur to fly" around here: A CJ/DP car winning a race dialing-in all the way or a CJ/DP car going out in the semi's after winning 3 or 4 heads-up races?

That's the $64,000 question, Toby. Guess we'll just have to wait to see what happens. Maybe at Indy this weekend....WJ

One of the blown Mustangs will not loose a a heads up race unless it breaks, has pilot error, red lights, crashes, or the driver has a heart attack and dies before he gets into high gear.

I agree with that but I think the current E offering of the 352 Mustang....well.....I think the DP has it covered in spades, unless they are really laying low with it, but well, the 5.7 DP Hemi Combo to me is the killer, always has been for the spread from A-F , It will crawl up the ranks from F to A.

I was actually asked today not to get HP added to the Combo because it "breaks" it as an SS/JA and its capable of running competitive there. Thats not a game I am playing, laying low for others, not now not ever. Myself, different story. I appreciate and enjoy other DP Owners information, support and comradary , we however have a limited clock as it were to do the things we set out to do.

We had originally planned to do just that at Houston with it had we not had issues. So it becomes an SS/IA Car.....Looking at Nitro Joes stats its got that covered to ESPECIALLY in SS Trim.

A while back I got roasted for saying I had a combo I thought could go 3 under, now after much thought and discussion with others its an easy 2 under, but the last .5 would break the "budget" nature of the car and setup. I wish , so very much wish I could find one, not just for a stocker, but its a car Ive been looking to add to my collection in permanent fashion I had one. I also passed up a Cosworth Vega because I was sleeping at the Keyboard when it closed.

There are many combos out there not yet in the guides that will be quite upsetting once the manufacturers are prodded to submit them I believe.

For many years I was complaining about my combination not being competitive with the Horse power rating that nhra had on my combination and that I was always whinning about the the chevis and was told by a lot of racers to work harder on my combination so now I am saying to all the races that are upset about the Mopars and Mustangs "work harder on your combination" case closed > smirking as what goes around comes around . let the comments begin quit :whining "

I called out the Cosworth Vega with 1.5 to 2 second under potential here a few years ago. Still think that!
I once had a black '75. Before emissions choked them they were good for 2 HP per CID. We all know how easy that is to get back on a class car.
OK, sorry to hi-jack...back from station break...

One of the reasons I was wishy washy about the Cosworth is they suffer the same problems that the "Secret Squirrel" Combo I found has they heads suck, not in charachteristics but in design and material, they were early OHC heads and suffer cracking issues.

That and rust issues with the combo I like well, they are all but totally extinct. They were pretty scarce in the begining as well.

But there are I think lots of those in the guides already that people for whatever reason avoid.

Whats going to be "upseting" is if/when some of the new cars get added to the guides that arent in there now.

Im just dissapointed the Chysler Maserati TC isnt in the guides , it would give me and excuse to get one, and I dont know why .... odd but its not.
