Is the .50-under rule still in effect for class? Do you still have to run at least .50 under the index to win class on a single?

Re: Live from Englishtown - NHRA Supernationals

In a half an hour we'll have start engines but as you can see from the schedule Kenny posted the S/S racers took another on the chin -- we all understand the Pro show must go on but -- anyway its an agressive deal for sure as the weather doesn't look very good for today with overcast skies at this moment looking like it could rain any second .

Round one of Stock yesterday was kind of a mixed bag with plenty of redlights -- many more than usual late lights and because of the big weather change a great many double breakouts -- and not many dead-ons .

Speaking of weather ------- here it is at this time ----- 30.03 barometer - 72 degrees ----- 63% humidity ---- and a final DA of around 1400 ' .........................later

Today's the day -- yep , if you're still in today is what's considered the "big show" in front of family - friends and foe not to mention thousands of fans watching your every move on the track - maybe sign an autograph or two and plenty of questions for sure .

Oh and by the way what a super nice day it is -Sunny with the temp in the lo seventies already and plenty of humidity this early - what did you expect ? Its Summer in New Jersey ! ! ! Good news - the barometer is 29.75 -- bad news is the DA is up over 2000' before 8am .This will be a t-shirt day no doubt and that means plenty of great sights if you know what I mean ...........later .

The "wiley veteran" looked like Wiley Coyote and Dusty was the Roadrunner.Sorry Joe,
no cigar today. But I did make some money to supplement the trip to Norwalk.Good luck to all the remaining racers.

Curfew is 7:30 and on any normal Sunday is strictly enforced.......

With all the past trouble with noise complaints at E-Town over the years.......I doubt very seriously that they will go beyond the normal curfew time.....

Looks like a Monday completion......

Good Luck to the "Schurman-ator".........in S/G........

7:30 -Doesn't look good for tonight -- got close a few times - under 5 minutes to start and it would start to spritz again -- looking more and more like Monday morning at 10 am - oh well ......they are trying hard but Mother Nature won't help out ..........

ESPN told the veiwers to tune back in tomorrow (Monday) at 1:30 am. They said it would be a hit or miss and I'm not going to stay up that late to find out.

This morning - just so-so ....overcast and very warm (65) even at this early hour (6:30) but showing some promise as the TV weather folks are saying it will burn off later this AM .Everyone here i'm sure has their fingers crossed

Pictured below are the "Leftover Six" Stocker teams who got to spend more than 5 hours underneath the Raceway Park tower yesterday afternoon and evening and do nothing - well almost nothing -- think about their dials with ever changing weather - start and warm-up their engines four times - think more about how good their opponents light will be - check the air in their tires about a zillion times - well you get it -- and after all that were still denied a shot at moving on to round five -- here's my take on how they looked during the downtime ----
1) Peter Biondo and his lady looked confident the whole time - period.
2) Bubba - Showed very little emotion the entire time - maybe he had lawns to mow today .

3) Tex Miller -- He had a concerned look on him most of the time - not sure what was going on in his head .Monday morning sales meeting at work ???
4) Steve Calabro - smoked a million cigs but was "loose" for sure
5) Dave Ficcaci - Good thing we had cell service - spent most of his time texting
6) Dusty Lowell -- Don't know him well enough to get a good read ..........

Re: Live from Englishtown - NHRA Supernationals

We're half an hour from the start and still overcast but no wet stuff .Even for a Monday I'm surprised there are fans -- they have been filing in for some time now - don't get me wrong -hundreds not thousands but they stayed .Guess a lot of managers got the call this morning - you know - the one that says I'm not 'gonna make it in ! !

Just went out on the track a few minutes ago -NHRA Safety Safari along with Director Langs' team did an excellent job prepping / drying and are ready to go with time to spare .

Stay tuned ..........
