Okay, since you are getting a new DP V-10 car maybe we can sway you back from your wayward step into the dark side. I have 16 cars and a pile full of parts: Been collecting and racing them since my graduation present of a 1971 Challenger that my Dad financed for me in 1976. Have a mess of trucks, Daily driver is an all original 98 CC Dak R/T.
Bought a 2009 R/T Challenger to stick in the garage, and my daughter drives a 2010 That we bought her. Point is, I know almost everything of importance that is going on with the Mopar world. I've been around the sport for a long time, and haven't had much time to race all the time. I make it out to most of all the "good local" races. I don't have to post my "real" name on here: Damn, it's the internet. But I have met quite a few members from this site, and honestly, and no hard feelings, I have never met anyone from California (except Sonny Barger) that I can say I honestly liked being around. And just don't "***" sume that just because someone is new to this site, that they haven't been here before, or that he or she doesn't know what's going on. My Dad was racing NHRA long before some of you could crap solid. Just do a good job with the Challenger, we true mopar people expect it. See you at the Sportsman Nats. And I could buy a DP car, I am sure easily, since my entire family are cusomers of a Dodge dealer close by. My point is, they are not "stock" production cars. I guess I'm just an old school purest. Peace. Hell, I'm thinking a 63 Dart Gt...That would piss the gazillion dollar car owners off, to be put on the trailer by that.

Hell' as big as that seat was in that old Imperial, it may as well been the trunk. Seriously, if the price or number of toys and what I own is a reflection of the size of my dick: I'm hanging damn low. Personally, I look at all my stuff as investments. I'm just a hardcore mopar enthusiast and collector of the older cars. I've got one of the 70 Super Bee six-pack cars that came from an unmetioned Louisiana Dodge dealer.

If it can run against the blown Ford and put it on the trailer, I am all for it. To me it's about putting the Fords and Chevies on the trailer. Nothin' else. Hell money is nice, but I make that doing my job, racin' is about competition and winning.

And once again...To me it's about puttin' the Chebbies and Turds on the trailer..Why do I have to post my name on the freakin' internet..I'm not a class racer..I am getting into it this year hopefully, if I have the time to dedicate to it...I've been around a long time and have run one of the fastest 10.5 outlaw 71 Darts that some of the sorrounding racers have seen. That should be a hint to those in the know. I haven't had the time that is required to dedicate to the schedule to be competitive; But every now and every other weekend I make it to the outlaw races and plunk a few grand or more on my hood, and put some Chevies and Fords back in their dog houses. I can't wait to get a big old ugly mopar stocker runnin' right so I can do it "Sportsman style". Peace racerdawg.

If you have driven nine second cars a 10 or 11 second, or even slower car is not going to be much fun. That's why we do this, right?
My low ten second car is no thrill, I wouldn't want to race anything slower. Just wouldn't feel like racing. Just because a guy has worked hard and long enough to afford a faster car doesn't mean he wants to measure anything with you. Not many of us do this for a profit. I'm happy for anybody that can afford a newer faster car. As long as the hp rating is close to correct.

Not really Ed. I had a 9 second S/G car that I also racing in SST for 18 years. Did ok with it, even won a couple mini walleys with it. I now have a 13 second Mustang stocker and I am having FAR MORE FUN with it than I ever had in the 9's at 140MPH.
And by the way, my dick went from Super Gas big to 13 second stocker small..........................................and I love it!!

My low 13 second daily driver feels slow as heck to me. It would bore me to death to be stuck with racing it. I can't imagine having to race anything much slower than what I have now. It's not about proving anything. If you can have fun in a 13 second car I'm happy for you. If you think guys liking faster cars are dick swingers, then I think you are a sad, probably jealous person.

The only reason,( besides the fact that I love them) that I drive, and race mopars is because Harley Davidson doesn't make cars and trucks.

Mopar or No Car, brother. 81 all the way. Wanna sell that 'AAR ?

Looking for a good Mopar? We're looking to finish our 09 Drag Pak. Need to buy parts..... Gotta a few cars for sale. Oringinal 64 Max Wedge Polara hard top, 1 of 5 built, fresh resto (engine dyno next Thur) 70, 340 AAR Sassy Grass clone driver. Oringinal 70, 440 6 Pak Super Bee resto under construction. Red, white vinyl top/interior, bench seat, column shift 727, Dana 60, Bee stipe delete. You can gladly add anyone of those to your collection. Too bad Don sold Teuton's 68 Dart Flyer a couple years ago or you could have had the chance at being the proud new owner of her today. I've had my hands in restoring some of Mopars best known race cars. Landy's 68 Dart, Lilly's 76 Volarie, Sox & Martins 67 GTX and 70 Cuda.

Am I being sarcatic? Your damn right. You, being a Mopar lover is great and all, but you tread on people here the wrong way and your getting on some people's nerves. Mine included and I'm a passive person that doesn't like to start crap, unlike you. You stated you have one of the fastest 10.5 Outlaw 71 Dart's? How many other 71 Outlaw Dart's were you up against? Again, I'm being sarcastic. Until your a Class Racer, go back to the Outlaw forum's and spread your B.S. over there.

BTW, Visa or Mastercard excepted on your purchase of any of the fine cars listed for sale above.

You are not alone in moving "up" to a slower Stocker Charlie, up here in Div. 6, we have a couple of 6 cylinder Stock racers who used to race much faster cars. Jim Mantle runs a 258 powered AMC Pacer wagon in V/SA, his last race car before the Pacer was a high 8 second 68 AMX (with real Rambler power!)
Bruce Flodin races a V6 Dodge Dakota in P/SA, he used to run a 318 in the same truck in DT/SA earlier on, but ran a S/G roadster for many many years before that.
Even my own M/S 302 Mustang is almost 2 1/2 seconds slower than my bracket car, but I like the small performance gains within the (still) fairly tight limitations that Stock Eliminator demands, the challenge keeps it fun, regardless of how slow it may seem to others.
I don`t get to California as often as I`d like, but I did get to Sonoma in 2010, and I met plenty of area racers there for the 1rst time, including Ron Durham and Charlie Allen, and like most racers anywhere, they seemed like fine people. Saying that you dislike every person from a certain state in a pretty small minded thing to say.

I can't believe some are such bigots about car brands. They are all just dumb iron, built by big corporations run by bean counters. None of the "big three" even make all their own parts. They just assemble them. Many outside vendors make similar parts for all three. They often buy components from each other. What's the big deal about the name badges? They all build some good vehicles, they all build some crap.

I'm glad you had a hand in restoring those cars...Nice work. I saw the 64 that is for sale, and the price is a little high for what it is..If the price is right on the clone we might talk. I don't BS anyone, I don't have to: I don't care if people get offended at my opinions. I didn't vote for Slumbama.
If what I have written offends some of the racers here and you, than you must be covering your ears at the track. I have been around and raced with many class racers both NHRA and IHRA, and I hear way more smack at the track then I have ever thought of writing here. Hope to see you and your car at the sportsman nats. Have a good one.Now let me jump back to the Outlaw forum and talk with the rest of the "young punks" that talk BS. I guess class racers aren't permitted to sling some hundreds out on the hood and race heads up for it. See ya at the Fat Tuesday race. Fastest car to the finish line takes the money home. Come run with the Outlaws and see how much smack a 622 Indy motor on three stages talks.

I am doing my best to try to conform: I am building a car to run stock, hopefully I'll be able to make all of the divisional races and the three nationals. But, I don't officailly retire from my career until next year. But I am sure that I can build a competitive car that fits the "stock" rules. And, as in all competitive sporting events: We don't have to like each other, or like what the other guy says or does. I'm just an arrogant asshole sometimes, guess that comes from being an outlaw, and doing what I want to do regardless of what the sheeple think or do. And Mr. Wright, no offense intended and surely no disrespect: But racing is all about the brand. Ford guys don't drive or race chevies, Chevy guys don't race fords, and Mopar guys don't race either. I understand that, and I respect your outlook, but not all of us race for those reasons. I don't care who is driving the chevy or ford, there could be a robot in there for all I care. I want to beat the other brand. To me it is all about the cars. I have friends that race chevies and fords, and I love them like brothers: But, when I outrun them and hit the traps first, I love the thought of another mopar winning. I promise to try to learn how to be a good sportsman racer, within the rules, of course, and try not to offend anyone or piss them off. I won't try to rub it in if I happen to win.

Ed, I think you are in trouble on the hp factors.

Mr Jeff, I know I am a "newbie" to this stock class racer stuff, so please don't spank me to hard or yell at me: But, in all honesty, knowing you and your families racing heritage: Would you drive a chevy or ford? I mean what would racing be without the long history of brand loyalty. Glad to see that ya'll are still going strong with the Mopar colors. That's a damn pretty hauler ya'll have too.

Glad to see that you simmr'd down some. This site has more useful information with the most knowledgable racer's out there. Yeah, I get a little upset at times with all the old timer's smack talk about the new cars and hp factors, but I sit down, shut up, listen and learn.

Also the 64 has never been listed and I was wrong telling you the AAR was a clone. She's a true AAR 340, just not with the heads or oringinal paint color.

And what does your BB Dart run without the dope in the 1/8?
