My little story,

When young all I wanted was a Chevy that would fly. I was building a 39 Chevy street rod/race car that had a Crower injected small block in it. A couple of "so called friends" decided that they wanted my parts more than I and I was robbed. I felt violated because of the loss of car parts and what I thought was a friendship.

I finally decided to return with something NO ONE ELSE would want, FE powered big block Ford. And here I am today, very few people seek me out and the ones that do, I know them better.

i suggest you guys look out for stolen trailers too, easier to snatch one of them and they are less recognizable...

Anyone who buys a racecar without a title or real good sales docummentation is asking for trouble. Beware of the good deals, they are tempting but 9 times out of 10 there is something wrong.

A guy I knew years ago who bought a Ford Pinto to get to and from work. The car was a 4cyl stick shift car and nothing else. About a month and half after he bought the car, he got a call to show up to the Michigan State Police barracks for an inspection. Car turned out to be stolen. He got nothing, not even a ride home.

I don't think this car was stolen. I think it was a situation of 2 owners and a hired driver. Do you honestly think if car was stolen they would be racing as much as they were. They won an IHRA race and R/U a NHRA race in the last 6 weeks. Not exactly hiding out there.

Not to take up for the guy, but if there is any shadow of a doubt whether it really was an actual theft on the stocker... To clear up the Nissan deal here is an article just a week or so old about the cars.

One thing though... It is really crazy thinking that there really could be people out there pitting next to us and racing just like us that could be capable of such a thing. I mean when you think thief, you think a low life strung out person that would be lucky to orchestrate the actual theft of a race car and transporter, much less have the wherewithall to get it all to the track, race and win...
