Congrats to Kirk on the RU and David on the Win in Stock and RU in Super Stock. Also want to thank RJ, Kirk and Caleb for all the help this weekend, and an extra thank you to RJ for allowing me to drive his Fairlane. Very nice and fast car, while also a privilege to drive.

Congrats also from me to Dave Latino, for his win and r/u in stock & super stock. I should've been your opponent, but I was .003 too sleepy in the 1/4's, so darn. Oh well that's racing, and I had fun. Being here to support IHRA for the 1st time in 36yrs of racing was important too, as it's been nearly 31yrs since I've been able to have a respectable distanced race from my home to attend (that was non-NHRA). I hope all of you finalist enjoyed your cash/contingency monies, and I also hope to see you guys here next year (along with hopefully Ed Wright, Ed Carpenter again, and Hagen Gary?). Good times were had here, and that's most important.... :)

The biggest sportsman class race in IHRA history will feature $5,000 to win in each IHRA class and is open to all racers. All IHRA and valid NHRA memberships, licenses and chassis certifications will be accepted. In addition to the big payout, each Sportsman Spectacular will feature national event contingency, an IHRA Ironman and automatic entry into the Summit Racing Tournament of Champions for all winners.

If the click don't work ,just go to side bar on class racer forum.

See how many ( ? ) travel for these two races...

Will these races have stock/superstock at them?

Yes . They will have all 7 sportsman classes:
stock
superstock
hot rod
super rod
quick rod
top sportsman
top dragster

If you win ,you are in for the finals for a world championship in your class...

It is gonna be like a sports National with contingency and a 5 grand pay day. They will have qualifying and a ladder from 1st round to finish. Also heads-up if on ladder .
Will have scales and will be a 1/4 mile ...
Not a combo race .
5 grand in stock ...
5 grand in superstock...
This should have a good turn-out.

Hope to see a lot of you there..If racers don't come to these two races ,they must not want to race

All info is on ihra.com
and on the sideboard of this site on forum page.

I was not able to get there in time. Tested here Friday and found I didn't have my problem fixed anyway.

Gary it was good to see you again and Shawn it was nice hanging out with you too. We just got back to Colorado last night. It was tough putting my Falcon in storage and leaving her down there. I can't complain about the track on Saturday but Friday only hooked once. 15 years of using the 2 step and retraining myself to just stand on the gas pedal was different. Was a good time and hot. I have a little snow on my deck here from and Sunday storm. See you later, Jeff.
