Nice PR on your dad in the latest Drag Review. Some of the young guys have no idea how he was (and still is, in my mind) a bad dude back in the "good ole days." I never knew you guys used to own the Jimmy Morton/Jeff Taylor car. Tell the whole family I said hello. Doyle |

Thanks Mr. Doyle, I appreciate the nice comments about my dad. Yeah, that was his favorite race car. He talks about it all the time! Everyone here says hello and hopes to see you soon |
Re: Old photos of your current car.
Spell's trailer was not a converted horse trailer. It was a car trailer built by a horse trailer company. It was sold locally and several different people owned it.

Re: Old photos of your current car.
I wish I had pictures of Jimmy's Hardtop "The Hustler II", the last one he had. I really enjoyed watching him and others here in Div 2 go after the SS/L record. By the way he still has "We Bad" on the back of his camaro. Also, Blaney, in July was the hottest place on earth!!! We literally though the engine fell out, it slowed down so much from the heat! Good times though. Scott W. what happened to you Chevy 2 post car after you? Did it go to Jimmy Bridges or Ronnie Smith?

Re: Old photos of your current car.
The picture of my car, post 22 in this thread, was also at Blaney Drag Strip.

I sold the SS/K Car to Ronnie Smith and I sold the SS/L car to another racer in Texas and haven't seen it since. As you probably know, Jimmy's Corvette is my old SS/A SS/B car. I can't remember who I sold it to initially or how many people owned or drove it before Jimmy bought it. |

No, mine was an '67 L88 that ran in SS/A and SS/B. Ronny Traffanstedt owned it long before I did. Dwight ran his car as a 427/425 in SS/C. He may have run other classes with it as well. |

I believe Bridges purchased the vette from Noel Davis. Not sure how many times it changed owners between Scott and Jimmy though?

That Sunday was the only time I took any pics at KDS. Guess I thought those days would last forever! Bob |

Jimmy was real fast back in the day with Warren Power. He picked up big time when he switched to the Camaro running SS/L. He is doing his own stuff now and has been some high 10.teens @ 130 with that same combo. If you have facebook you can find him on there as well as searching fo him on Youtube. There's a couple clips of his car in eliminations and one of him getting one of his engines dyno'd at Warren Engines. If you want his info, PM me and I will pass it along. Jimmy is definently a character, alot of fun to be around on and off the track. Smitty |

I think that's it. I remember now that you posted his name. I sold it to Noel Davis. |
