Well we have 51 entries so far, if you know of anyone that may be coming and they are not on classracer or Facebook please let us know. Again if we get enough entries we will adjust both payouts, the Cic race on Friday and the combo Race on Saturday. Plus we still have a few ideas that may get thrown out there for everyone to decide on.
Wishing everyone a Happy and safe New Year! See you soon

Happy New Year!!!!

Here is one idea we would like to try. ASRA vs. ECSSSA at the Combo in the Hills. We are thinking of a $50 side bet to whoever goes the farthest on Saturdays combo event gets the pot and bragging rights for there association. You need to be a member of either association to be eligible. Just to throw a number out there if 40 people enter this it would be a $2000 payday and you don't necessarily have to win the event. Just need to be the last racer in that entered this side bet. Brian and I have passed this along to Dave Ley and Greg Barsamian, both have agreed to this. Please give us some feedback if this is something worth trying or any other ideas that we may be able to bring to the Combo in the Hills!

Let's here your ideas.

Happy New Year to you and your families,

Your idea sounds good to me, the ASRA will be having our annual meeting in conjunction with our banquet on Feb 4th and I will make sure that your event is discussed, and a decision made. Personally,my concern is that we could get enough members to attend, many of our members don't travel that far, hopefully we could encourage enough to attend. You picked a good date this year , scheduling is always the hardest part of these things.

Props to both of you for setting up this event, any stock and super stock races that promote and enrich our style of racing are a great thing. I put Numidia as one of my favorite facilities.

Thanks, Dave

Dave, Thanks so much for your interest and your support. We greatly appreciate it. I know that for a long time now there have been talks about having a race between the ASRA and ECSSSA. We understand the logistics and difficulty with scheduling and just figured that this could get the guys on both sides a little more interested in attending the race. I know that a lot of your racers do not travel that far but I do know that a lot of them do go to the divisional at Englishtown and Numidia is only 60 miles more from Lebanon Valley (Where a few of your races are) than Englishtown is. Plus a lot less tolls. And You would run for more money at our race. With all of these I would hope that the race would become viable for a lot of the ASRA. Once again, Happy New Year to everyone. Hopefully 2012 is everything that you want it to be.

Lee, Brian and Rob,

How bout throwing the CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association, into the mix of the side bets? If everything goes right with this year, I plan to be there.

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

This is great, how about the idea of starting round money with a 1st round win. Getting something for a round or two win takes the sting out of ever growing high over head. Plus I get to show something to my wife, heheheh....

Just my thoughts:)

Lee Zane 01-24-2012 07:57 PM

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

Scott, we would love to have you there. We will let you know about adding on to the side bet for the association racers. If it would help draw cars I'm all for it, and as far as paying 2nd round loser we just cannot do it. It takes quite a bit of money from the following rounds to make that happen. And to pay someone that gets pulled for a bye without actually competing for a win light just doesn't sound right to me. We are paying 3rd round losers. As it was set up, if we get 100 cars entered on Saturday you will receive $200 for your efforts. That's $50 more than the cost of your entry. We thought this was fair for everyone. Again if we get the entries we will adjust the payout from 3rd round loser to the winner.

Thank you, can't wait to get the season started and see you at Numidia our Division1 Track of the year!!!!

As long as I have a car to race I will be there.. My stocker project is slow moving and super stocker is still apart. I agree first round winner getting a little something always helps. I know Mike Carr does that.

They are all good, Holiday Inn Express at the Buckhorn very nice and give a Numidia Dragway discount. Patroit Inn in Bloomsburg also gives a discount.

My suggestion would be to just pitch a tent at Mustang Sally's or if you guys can leave the gate open for the people that are coming back from there.. Thanks

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

Just talked with Vinny from Numidia, he told me that he will have someone on duty at the gate till 10pm on Sunday, June 3rd for anyone that is coming from Englishtown National Event or the Pittsburgh IHRA Pro-Am and would like to drop off their trailers for the following weekend. Just let the person at the gate know that you are parking for the .90 Nationals / Combo in the Hills Event and you will be good to go. Their will be no parking on Mon - Wed and the gates will open at 5pm on Thursday June 7th or if Lee, Brian or Myself get up there earlier the 5. Thanks!

I figured since we are literally 2 months away from the Combo in the Hills / .90 Nationals I'd let everyone re-live last years Combo in the Hills Event that Lee and Brian worked so hard on. Hope to see everyone make it out for this event, we promise you from the time you enter the gate on Thursday / Friday for the Free Test & Tune all the way till the end and the Free Racers BBQ on Saturday Night we want you to leave going "Wow that was FUN and I can't wait till next year!!"

Can I also request that Stock and Super Stock be pitted on the tower side of the track. It's nice to be all together, and nicer when you are on the side of the track where the return road, fuel pumps and staging lanes are! Plus, that is where we always pitted when were there for points races. It's just a lot more convenient.

Brian VP 04-25-2012 09:58 AM

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

We are going to be pitted on the tower side this year. Since we have the track all to ourselves it should be cleared out enough so that we have plenty of room for everyone over there.

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

The only thing I do ask is to leave a decent size area around the grandstands open as that is where we are going to park the Donhausers and set-up for the Racers BBQ. If anyone would like to contribute and bring something you can e-mail me at Rekeister@aol.com. The menu that night will consist of Burgers, Hot Dogs, Corn, Chips and whatever else I come up with in the next few weeks. It will be Bring Your Own Beer Though!

I know most of you are all racing at E-Town this weekend but, I just figured I'd see who's coming to Numidia next weekend? I know Brian & Lee take delivery of their new baby this afternoon from WJ so I know they will be on Cloud 9 for the next few days, months, years...lol. All three of us look forward to putting on a great sportsman show at the "Thrills in the Hills" next weekend and I hope you the racers support the hard work and effort we have all put into bringing you this race. Without you the racers coming to these events it would never survive. I talked to Bob yesterday and he said he's getting warmed up on the mic for everyone next weekend at Numidia so watch out! Hope to see everyone next weekend at the Combo in the Hills x 2.

Re: "Combo in the Hills 2"

Bill,

We are not looking for a head count at all just seeing who might be making the trip. I know for some it's 3 or 4 weeks in a row and to be honest with the addition of the National in Epping Next year it's going to make it tough for future events...just too much racing going on and new series popping up that it's becoming harder and harder to schedule these types of races and get good car counts. Trust me I'd rather do this type of racing rather then the other stuff but, I'm not everyone. For me with the 90 Race I've had to dodge Hurricanes & Rescheduled National Events and looking at the weather for next weekend.......let's not even go there......lol

Track does sell Sunoco, you can e-mail Bob at Numidia (gobusing@aol.com) and see if he can bring some in for the weekend. I know a few .90 Guys may need some VP also.
