We talked to Danny Byrd a little while ago, and the first thing he said was "But I passed the drug test!". According to Danny, they didn't like the way his bowl looked. He said he is going to protest the DQ.

I have had a great internet connection til this afternoon, and I haven't been able to get on at all. I am going to try to post some pics I took. If it doesn't work tonight, I will try to post them tomorrow.

This is the front of the Henderson's toter after a blowout on the front tire. The trailer ended up in the ditch. Everyone was ok, with a couple of dents in the roof of Trista's car.

Well this morning is overcast here in Topeka. The sun is trying to peek out a bit. As you can see on DRC, Larry was late, but the other guy a little later, but we could not run our number. It should have been about the same as the first run yesterday morning, but I think there was a big wind gust that came up after we started running. Out of the 23 pairs that went down this morning there were 12 red-lights and also really bad lights green and red. We are packing up now to go home. I have a few more pics from yesterday that I will post later.

Well we are back home after our 500 mile non-eventful drive. We like non-eventful! Oh, Daryl, I got you a couple of programs in Topeka. There is a picture of your car, but I wish it had been in color. We will see you in Joliet in a couple of weeks.

And we will see ya'll next weekend in Bowling Green for the Sportsnationals Open and the Nitro-Plate Combo race for $5000.

Nice to see all those old Mopars, especially Jim Bogner's Demon. My first car was a '72 Dart Swinger so I have a soft spot for that front end.

Larry and Patsy, your car is a masterpiece. Hopefully, I'll see it in person some day.
