I've received a few calls/e-mails from some nervous racers.

YES, we are still on for the races this weekend in Maryland. And will be until I hear anything from the track to the contrary. They had some water there, but this is only Wednesday. Still plenty of time to dry out.

The only cancellation/postponement of the events will come from the TRACK. If the race is cancelled for this weekend, it will NOT be made up this year...I can't make it the next three weekends they are open.

Jeff Boyd lives a few minutes away, he is going to check out the track tomorrow and let me know how things are. He told me tonight "I just talked to elmers daughter and she said the water went down a bunch!!.

Will let you know if/when I hear anything else.

*edit* Jeff just wrote me "Just talked to his daughter again and she said the answer is YES we will be open this weekend!!

I was planning to attend, Hurricane Sandy took out power, and knocked down trees and power lines in front of my trailer storage location. Motorhome is powering my house now until further notice, fuel is also hard to come by here in NJ. Good Luck to all.

Jeff Boyd went out to the track this morning. He wrote to me a few minutes ago:

"I would say overall you could park on about 75%. Plus it will dry somemore tomorrow! I have seen it worse, the first field when you come in to pay Is probably the worse" (out near the street and the main entrance road in that lower corner).

Rich, I know another racer or two from NJ have said the same thing, hard to find an open gas station. Hopefully some can open tomorrow or Saturday morning for all of you.

I will be leaving early in the morning tomorrow. Dad has a doctor appointment at 10 am in Pittsburgh, then off to Hagerstown for the weekend. I will try to check in on here and Facebook, through the day, but if you need to get ahold me, about the race, my cell phone is (724) 510-5912. Also we are staying at the SUper 8 on Dual Highway (US 40, same road that run in front of the track, about 5-6 miles away).

I plan on going to the track tomorrow, before it gets dark, to check out the conditions of the pit area myself, and report here and/or Facebook. By most accounts, it's a little soft in places, but good to go for the weekend. See everyone this weekend !!

Just left the track a few minutes ago. Pits look anmd feel pretty good. A feew soft and squishy spots...i've seen Maple grove a HELL of a lot worse. Walk your pit spot(s) tomorrow to be sure. Hope to see you all this weekend!

Saturday, 36 cars, 22 raced, John Frech (Warren OH) won in his GT/IA '87 Firebird over Aris Asdourian (Bath PA) SS/C '69 AMX.

Sunday, 39 cars, 36 raced, Steve Klacik (Aliquippa PA) won in his H/PS '89 Mustang over Brad Huntzberry in his SS/JA '69 Camaro. Steve also won our 2012 Tri-State S/SS Assocation title, his second such (he was the 2000 Champ).
