Ed, I did see and talk to Billy, and I can tell you he was loaded.

Good morning - Today is it - one hit and on to elims - no excuses .And what a morning it is - sunshine / blue skies - the whole ball of wax .And some frost on the pumpkin as they say in these parts . We go out @ 8:45 - I can hear the Jet running as the Safety Safari is prepping the track for us - tech is open - scales are open - pretty soon the parade of cars warming up will start .........excited ?? You bet - lets get this show on the road .......later .

One last thing - weather - 65 degrees - barometer 29.49 - .40 vp 63% humidity and dropping - 1600 " DA .

How about 1.29 under for the Big 10'' truck, I know the whole team is very happy. Paul has to be overjoyed. Way to go Jim!!!!

Billy, what I meant to say, you were loaded with info. Its always a pleasure talking with you Billy.

Stock just finished qualifying, the weather was good, here are the numbers.

Temp 65
Humd 65
bat 29.50
DA 1569

Here is a few shots of the staging lanes.

Sam Murray brings our first in car cam in his 1972 J/S Cutlass. Sorry for the poor video, but it was hard to find a good spot in Sam's car. I was just happy that Sam was letting me put the video cam in the car.

Hey Jack,

Good job on reporting! Don't forget the rain tires! What hood was on Totaro's Firehawk? I was just curious since a 2002 Firehawk is not listed in the classification guide. It looks like the only way a Formula Firebird can fit B/SA is to run the heavier flat hood.

The warm weather sure brought out the fans today as the place is packed - pro's will run all day then we go out after 5 ...........Bader's place is not the only place for good ice cream - I just had to .


This weekend they are having a tribute to Bill Jenkins and had many of his former cars on hand .

It looks like some big name DQ's in stock. Because there was only 1 Q pass, it looks like they're out for eliminations. That sucks.

They must have fixed whatever the reason for the DQ. Everyone on the run list was placed on the ladder.:)

They better get it on, Sunday you are not going to want to be there when the rain comes, temps in the low 50s by mid morn. Could be a repeat of last year.

All dq's were placed on the ladder. I believe it's because of the rain-shortened event (makes it an all run field).

Noticed on qual sheet it has Mike Ficacci listed in C/S in his corvette! Is this correct???

We're done for the night - first rounds were a mixed bag - some ran 4 to 7 slower than this morning other ran closer - plenty of dew on the cars this late - if I had my way we would have bagged it earlier but it wasn't my call .Towels in the lanes were at a premium - probably could have sold mine .

Stock has an early morning call - 8 AM if I'm not mistaken - more dew - more towels - more / more / more ..........

How was the starting line? Looking at some numbers it looked like some spun bad. You should be a bunch cooler in the morning as well. Cross your fingers for no more rain. Good luck!

Good morning everyone, no rain yet but it is a cool 56 degrees. John DiBartolomeo from DRAG RACING ACTION Magazine www.dragracingaction.com sent me some great action as always.

Stock is supposed to be first out this morning at 8. The rain is supposed hit us by 1:00PM.
