I've been doing my part to keep b-body mopars in stock eliminator! I had a lot of fun with this car this fall. 440-6 pak combo In good air it was .60 under and there was a lot of things "wrong" with this car. Plan on making it all better before next spring.:D |

Re: mopar racers
I believe the Hemi '70 GTX would have to weigh 3810 in A/SA the 6-pak combo like mine would be 3458 in A/SA... 3410 in A/S thats where I'm tryin to head!:D

Re: mopar racers
Well the car would weigh 3620 with me in it and no weight in the weight box. So i always had 50 pds at least in it to be at B weight. So that puts me 210 heavy to make A/S weight. The car had some lead bolted to the frame looks to be about 80 pds?, has 2 batteries 50 pds?, has tri city launcher springs, I believe when I switched our wagon to cal-tracs and mono's we saved at least 50 pds?, plus has all the air grabber stuff on hood yet 20pds?. So I think I can get there. I want to redo the cage so it fits better also. What does chrome moly save you on a 6 point type cage? My main concern is making the car hook with all the weight out of back. This year with the springs and shocks that were in it I always had the car 50 pds heavy to make hook. Was always a balncing act between jump and spin and monster wheelstand like 20 pds between good-spin-and "HOLY S**T" :D hoping cal-tracs fix that! I want 3 foot wheelies not 8 foot wheelies:eek:

Re: mopar racers
Thank your gentlemen love the pics and info. Just don't see many I know the few in d-1 and enjoy them all. Need one to make it to the winner circle at e-town next year. Didn't know they ran that heavy, how are compareable to other mopar body styles as far as competitive and ability to run the number?

The car Mike Smith and I partnered on in the mid 90's. I wanted to add this earlier, didn't know how. I still don't know how to get it to show full size, as opposed to an attached thumbnail. Oh well.

Re: mopar racers
I know this isn't a stocker but did run it in S/ST till the Challenger came about... Converted it to a "Pro" car and racing it almost weekly... Still a great ride...
