Re: Top end........national open
I really enjoyed the show you folks put on this weekend at Top End, so hats off to everyone involved.
I took plenty of pics so it'll take me a couple days to get them posted. I'll post a link once they're ready. I must give a shout out to my friend, Bob Forsythe, who won Super Street on Sunday, running a 10.902 in the final. |

Re: Top end........national open
It was one heck of a job behind the wheel for Alex Wiese.
He had a heads-up match on both days that he mastered with expert driving skills. With a.000 light in the semi final heads up with Russ. And another heads-up in the final on Sunday. He was on a roll! Popping big wheelies and chopping down the tree in his H/SA Corvette. It was exciting to watch to say the least! I would like to thank Top End Dragway, Midwest Class Racers, Water Town FORD CHRYSLER & NHRA DIV.5 for putting this event together. The car count was low, around 26 cars. WHY? It was FUN the traction was EXCLLENT the PAYOUT was second to none!!!! These events rival others in many ways. If you have never tried one, you should!! We managed to win 3 rounds total for both races and got ALL our entry fee $ BACK!!!! Lets see anybody do that at "any other" race!! Congrats to Alex Wiese & family, it was one to remember!! Re: Top end........national open
Thanks to all for the nice comments & texts. As a Class Racer & parent we are about as proud of Alex as we can be (he has done far more in a race car then i ever have) Alex drove the wheels off the corvette going up against some of the Best drivers in Div 5. And the car was working great. A special Thanks to Topend & NHRA for putting on a great show! Also Thanks to MCR (which i am just a very small part of) and all there great sponsors. Last thank you to Scott & Watertown Ford Chry. (without your support these fantastic payouts would not exist)

Dan Wiese, Do you have qualifing order for S&SS and weather cond`s. Tom

Re: Top end........national open
Congrats to Alex and Dan.
Tom, I can tell you Charlie Blossom went stupid fast. He was number 1 qualifier at -1.47 ibunder. I was number 2 at -1.10. I don't remember the rest. Hopefully someone will post the sheets. I never looked at the weather. However, it wasn't too bad. Had kind of a cross tail wind Sunday. Overall the track seemed to work well. The weather didn't look promising yesterday and they did a great job of getting things going. Rick |
