It stood up and uloaded so hard I figured it was bad enough run, so I drove it out the back. The engine average was .720, class average for it was .680. |
Re: We control our own destiny
For one thing, I have an open trailer and not too long ago I was towing with tow hubs. I get all the thumbs up when going to and from the tracks. The only problem is that someone may want to own my car more then I do.
One problem that I have with S/SS races is why such a high entry fees? NHRA collected about $20k from stock only in Lebonan Valley. I understand that there are back office work that needs to get funding, but that is why we pay for the ND and our memberships. If I pay for a quality product, I expect to get a quality product. NHRA has been falling far behind on that. NHRA should put a little more effort on policing the cars like they did in the past. Tear downs are too few and far in between on a regular basis now. I'm slow, but I carry a set of gaskets with me at all times. Also about factoring, if NHRA did their job there, everone could run all out without any change of weights because the car would already be properly classified. I really like racing NHRA stock and hate to see it turn to ***** in a handbag. I've been racing NHRA Stock since the 70's, I would like it to see Stock make a turn somewhat back towards the way it was, "Stock Cars" with VIN numbers. No VIN, Super Stock only. Re: We control our own destiny
Maybe since the tracks are not drawing a crowd they should just charge 5-10 dollars spectator fee.....It's more than they are getting now.................. If crowd starts coming then step up the fee little by little ,but don't kill them

Good thought Danny, but it will never work.......Makes too much sense!

On track internet betting via your "iphone" at the race would surely spark interest from the casual spectator. I remember how the local bros used to throw down the C notes in the stands at MIR in the 80's:D
