Track prep was going full speed as we pulled though the gate. All day long the crew was working on the track, seems like the tractors were always up and down the track applying rubber to the surface.

On a different note, if an award was given to the best dressed track crew, Norwalk would win going away! Everyone was dressed in uniform making it very easy to identify who to speak with if you had a question. The pits are well prepared, grass was cut long enough before we got here so the clippings are gone and are not tracked everywhere. A person could almost make a golf course here, just need to add greens, sand traps, and the rough. Norwalk is very well taken care of.

Tech today, Patsy should get some pictures. Me, I will clean the car and get ready for the race.

If anyone gets a chance try to stop by and look at my Goodyear tires with a 102 runs that still have deep check holes, between 3/32" and 4/32" deep.

Well I finally made it and I did run into Larry and filled him on the T-Shirts. Sorry folks, Jack had some important issues to deal with and could not make the trip. I did talk to him on the phone, he wanted to be here, but couldn't get away.

Here are a few shots coming in this morning. I got here about 1:30 in morning. There was only about 40 rigs in line. They started right on time and I was parked by 10 AM. I have to say letting racers park yesterday made today go very smooth. At the present time there is no wait to get it, just pull up and drive into the track. Bill Bader Jr. and crew have to be one of the nicest race friendly people out there. They greet you when you come in and keep you informed when your going to be parked. So far its been a pleasant experience here in Norwalk.

Tech was also smooth with very little wait time along with getting your credentials, all in all a great day.

They are calling for a chance of a thunder shower for the next few days but I think will be okay. Today is warm and humid with no rain, but still kind of nice.

Internet access is not good, I have been trying to upload photos and its taking forever.

I'm driving one of Anthony Bongiovanni's cars this week and when Mike Ficacci, Anthony's crew chief got all the cars out, I snapped a pic. Making the boss happy and the crew chief is always a good thing.

I found a few cars out of the trailers, I hope to have more photos tomorrow along with some in car cams. It make take awhile to upload, so be patient this week.

The last photo is Larry's tire with a 102 runs. I can not believe it looks that good. Also, he had a new set on the car that have been to two racers and they look brand new. Goodyear has found something for sure.

The most runs I got out my hoosier radials on my stocker was 217 runs.

Vic the tire is the 4457, its very durable. I think Nick is going to make a hit today with them on his Charger. The key to the long life of the tire is a light burn out at a slower wheel speed to expose the fresh rubber across the tire. One of things I like about the tire is the rubber doesn't stick to the car as much making clean up easy.

Three hits today starting at 9:00 am.

hey its 722am been raining off and on all night, Kenny is parked across from the Jackson compound. I did get to talk to him for a few minutes yesterday. Really looks like we will be on hold for a bit unless it dries faster then I think. 3 runs today if plan A stays in affect. Didn't feel the greatest last night after working all day on parents cars so I called it a early night only drinking my pepsi after dark with no helpers, lol Will post more later.

We never knew it rained last night! We went over to Sandusky to John Stock's beautiful house yesterday afternoon and then went out on his boat (there were 14 people on the boat) to Put-In-Bay on Lake Erie. We passed the amusement park at Cedar Point and then rode on across the Lake. I took lots of pictures that I will sort thru and post a little later. I also have some pics from the tech line yesterday that I will also post. More later.

Larry - Both Ken and I were so looking forward to having three 'reporters' at this race but you know what they say about the best layed plans .Yes , I bailed but not because I wanted to and while you guys are having fun this Independence Day I'm at work as we're open today .Good luck this weekend ......And BTW , 102 runs ? ? Really .....I gotta spend less time in the water .

72 cars made the first run. Very overcast, even a few sprinkles as stock finished up. The way the weather is looking for the rest of the day, this could be our only run. Looks about like Chicago except for the no wind. More later.

Just finished the 2nd qualifying shot on Stock, Super Stock up soon. Weather is overcast with a few sprinkles here and there.

The internet is still slow. I have two in car cams, Joe Martens in stock and John DiBartolomeo super stock. I will not b able to upload them until late tonight when there is more bandwidth available.

Pasty is doing a great job as always with photos, she must have a better signal then me because its taking me forever to upload.

Its a 281 3 valve combo, its a good reliable combo. The weather is still holding out. A few sprinkles here and there, but we are rolling along. Stock and Super Stock have made two passes, and super gas in running their 2nd pass now.

Internet is still very slow, still working on the in car cams.

For those of you who want to know what the weather numbers are, here you go. The weather for stock was only about 2 slower from first to second pass, about the same for Super Stock.

We are "On Hold" for rain. Rained really hard for a little while. They were drying the track and it started sprinkling again. Now the sun is trying to peak out. Top Dragster was running and they are going to complete them when they resume. Right now the only change in the schedule is they have moved Comp up to after Top Dragster.

Were back to racing, they are running top dragster, then comp. Stock should follow along with the rest of the sportsmen for the 3rd pass.
