That was my motivation with the Achieva. I've done a few more things to the car this year. Too much life keeps getting in the way. Race time just hasn't fit in my schedule. Hopefully next year is better, maybe early spring I can get back to a track.

That was the fun part of it for me. Making a few changes and seeing how the car performed. Slow cars are just as much fun as fast cars, if you approach them the right way. It's also fun when you beat somebody with a decent car or show up some kid in his street car and he comes over and wants to see the car that just beat him.

once upon a time I had a 74 matador coupe with a 304/727....would have made an unusual u/sa car.....too bad a boulder had to go thru the roof.....honest,it did...

no idea if it had potential or not to be competitive..

hope I didn't throw anybody 'under the bus" ;)

Tom,
Someone in California a few years ago ran a '74 Matador wagon in U with the 304 - 2V combo. I believe it was posted here in the classified section for sale a while back.

Yes, but it was in V/SA, I'm pretty sure.

Ed F won a divisional in T/SA also

Del-Mar and Atco in 2003 as a U/SA car, when I was somebody. I liked running the car in U because it was a lot easier and more fun to drive but I lost a bunch against the index. Please don't ask me what I've done lately.

Hey Joe Huestis this is Willie Lamprecht,
You told me you still had a 262 ( or 267?) from the Monza, besides the Monza what other body combinations would that fit in?

Will Lamprecht
Div 1 65 Impala I/H stck

75 Nova but with a smaller carb. But with that difference you might get NHRA to take the HP factor off of it.

Will,
I will sell all my 262 stuff, 2 complete engines with a Deano carb for the Nova combo and a Doug Smith carb for the Monza '76 combo. Complete with Bullett Cam, Schubecks, etc. less distributor, water pump
Needs freshening. Have Hooker #2135 headers for monza too.
As was stated in Billy's Dime rocket thread the Nova would be a force in U/SA.

http://halifax.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...eaturedAdZtrue

71 mustang grande with a 250 6 cyl and 3spd manual! Throw a c-4 in it and...watch everyone drive away:(

Too bad the 250 is such a pig, that would be a hilarious stocker! LOL!

Ed, I think I've got the only Pacer wagon I've seen that didn't come with woodgrain. I think that makes it faster.

Yeah 302 2bbl's will out number sbc at every race now! There won't be the masses of 69 camaro's with sbc, they'll all park them because of one wrong hp rating...because that's never happened before, hp rating were always dead on....

Man, it's wrong, we get it, get over it, please ahfs will correct it.
