Good morning - Like most of you I was blown away by the video of the ATI Camaro COPO engine - thanks to JC Beatti for allowing us to show just how violent things get under the hood of these monsters .

Another fab morning today - the Sun is just starting to rise britely and the temps should come up fast .For those of you counting my rain record is still intact as the most we had yesterday was a few drops in the early evening - maybe a new trend is developing here .

Lets not forget tonight's show - Maple Grove is putting on their annual deal -the 'Showdown at Sundown' - they'll be showcasing Jet cars / Dragsters etc along with Fireworks .

This morning most of us will get our final shot at qualifing on the 1320 before we move to eliminations early this afternoon .

Back in a bit .......And for those of you hitting the highways today - be careful as this is a big accident weekend .

The reason for the Head Gasket Recall was poor engineering, LS engines including the LS 7 only has a deck thickness of 100 mm which =s .394 thickness the head was bending which caused the failure. All Dart and World heads are at least 5/8 ths (.625)! The LX head is about the same as the production LS but gets the 2 extra head bolts. Hence the Recall on Heads for the S/C engine. Just look at a print of the Cylinder Heads.

Stock and S/S got their final shot at the track and we're ready to move on to eliminations .A little cloudy at the moment but I'm sure the Sun will return .Most racers picked up a few hundreths this morning in the cool Amish air .And who said Sportsman racers aren't out here - first round of Stock has a hundred cars............And they all want a Wally tomorrow ! ! !

Jarod, its hard to do stockers when running stock. I tried to get up their first and do the cars at the end of the line. John went up ahead of me. Maybe I can get John on the next race.

Paul, I f have time and Wendell is okay with it I will try to get him. Not everyone likes their car video.

Stock finished rd1 with many getting a surprize - not being able to run their dial .The weather changed a bit and most didn't dial for it .We had two heads-up runs - CC/SA Barton and DeGuara with Barton getting the nod and another between Periard and Moran with the Hemi car winning in the B/SA matchup .Stock is done for the day -and S/S is due out soon for their rd1 .

Looks like a great turnout Over 180 s/ss cars. Would love to have a divisional that big at ZMAX for division 2.

Good morning to all - And more of the same we've had the past couple with sunshine and blue skies greeting us this AM and if you're off today it probably isn't a bad idea to pack-up the Mrs. and the kids into the SUV and head on over here as there will be some great racing today .With the exception of SuperGas everyone will be heading into rd 2 this morning in a few hours .

Last night - the folks here @ Maple Grove Raceway put on a super show for their fans and racers in attendance with the alcohol dragsters and funnies and a couple of Jets followed by some terrific fireworks .

Back a little later ......Oh - one last thing - if anyone runs into the boss today tell 'em this is a three day race and he needs to work all three - I really could use the help ! ! Or maybe I could hire an assistant .....Hmmmmm - how am I going to get that past him ? I'll just put it on my expense report - he just tears them up anyway .

I have a few more photos of Super Stock in the staging lanes getting paired up yesterday for first round. It was a little hectic at first, but the cars were quickly paired up.

I left last night, leaving Jack to multi task today. Looks like another great day for racing, good luck to all.

Jack was busy today, racing in every round. Very close at the finish line in the final too. Fetch won a double break out, going .030 under to Jack's.031 under. What a weekend!

The weather today was fantastic and it was a great race...

I even hung out for a few minutes with my old friend Billy Nees for a round of Stock...

Congrats to Peter Biondo on his Super Stock win....man this guy is on fire this year. Peter has won 6 races between Stk/SS. Nice job for Larry Miller on his runner up.

Congrats to Anthony Fetch for his win in his new ride, driving PC Richard's 69 Camaro. I can't forget our very own Class Racer live reporter Jack Matyas in his 2014 COP0. Nice job with your runner up Jack, but that does not mean you should been slacking off. Where is the rest of the reports for sundays race...?

Good morning and happy Memorial day - Once again Maple Grove didn't let us down as Lex Dudas and the MG staff gave a nice place to race - well groomed grounds and a safe track to race on - what more could we ask for ? Even with the high temps yesterday I wasn't hearing traction complaints as the staffers along with the NHRA folks kept on top of things .

Next I owe you folks apology for dumping you all day yesterday as normally I'd be taking some photos and getting some facts but yesterday the track had my full focus .In the final Anthony raced me fair and square and congrats to him and the PC Richard & Son team . On the other hand it still stings a little - one stinkin' thousandt ! ! Really ??? I gave it everything I had -- and all I can say is I'll try harder at Englishtown later this week ............But it was fun while it lasted .

I noticed a discrepancy in the qualifying list in DRC. That is not an '08 Cobalt.
