BRINK, I agree. I don't like people who don't use their names. The rest of your post showed about as much stupidity as that comment.

Tony, you should be able to get in with your 1 grade pont; Indy goes to Grade 1 on Aug. 6. Inevitably, there will be a few withdrawals; you will have to be quick to enter as soon as you see a withdrawal. Good luck, I go to Indy every year and I always look forward to seeing you.

Joe Paillot (the poster Hemi car) is in the same boat, broken all year and has one GP. I also towed 2500 miles RT to Dutch and blanked. Had to take two cars to Belle Rose this Spring. We have asked Mopar to lobby as well as our D4 director to, at a minimum take it to grade 1 and 180.

Tony,
I would contact Dave Mohn at Div. 1 office. We were told everyone that was at the Dutch Classic last year would get a grade point.

You had to be teched to get it. We did.

Re: Indy Super Stock Entries

Competition Eliminator 70 17 24.3%

Super Stock 160 160 100.0%

Stock Eliminator 180 132 73.3%

Super Comp 160 85 53.1%

Super Gas 160 81 50.6%

Think about this. If registration closed right now there would be 255 sportsman spots open, I think that after one week of one grade point level, NHRA could go to an open format let any sportsman car ( with 1 point) in regardless of quota until the extra 255 spots are filled. They are all set fields, and the extra $91,800 (with no increase in payout) has got to ring NHRA's bell. They already set the time for that many cars, for parking, time trials etc. So many things would be a benefit. Every body had a week at grade one to get in, then for the week after that whatever sportsman is left open is for any sportsman entrant.

Yes Stephen, I just noticed that the quota has been increased to 180; and already the entries have increased from 160 to 172. Indy goes to Grade 1 tomorrow, and only 8 spots left open.

That's right Mike, why not raise the quota up some. If Super Gas does not fill up, take some of those spots and give them to Super Stock. I for one, think its great to see that much interest in Superstock!

Why not? Doesn't look like Stock will fill up either. Only 19 Comp cars entered so far also.

It's full again, 180 entries.Looks as though a grade 1 will not get you in this year. Must be the sixty year anniversary attraction.

Mr. Voth, I wish that NHRA would raise it to 200; however there is at least another 5-10 entries missing from past World Champs and Division Champs. NHRA knows this; therefor I'm just happy to see the Big Go back to being how it was meant to be, fast and bad *****!

Only Past World Champs Are Allowed to Enter on The Monday Before The Race Not Div Champs.

Stock is at 154, only 26 spots left; and the entry deadline isn't until Aug. 25 at 12 noon Pacific Time. I believe that Stock will fill up; I agree with you about Comp; only 20 cars entered right now.

I did some stat work last night and by my predictions it looks like if you can not run -80 to -75 under in SS, (might be higher if cool weather comes in) you will not be in Rd 1, just my thoughts

Sounds like fun Joe! Looks like SS/JA is going to have nine cars after Ricky enters. Most all but me are hitters. May be some HP awarded after class runs. Four rounds of class.

Maybe we can all help Dennis' Drag Pak get some HP Tuesday. LOL

Ed,

I'm trying to get a hp reduction not more hp, lol. SS/JA will be tough again, GT/FA doesn't look any easier. I don't have enough for the GM guys but I try anyway.

All part of having fun Ed. I think someone will have to take a hp hit if they want to run with Ronnie Terrell, his Camaro is bada$$.

I'd love to see Ed lay down a 9.90 or so!

Ronnie is the fastest one I have seen run. I have seen pictures of ET slips, but same day same track, I still lean toward Ronnie. He would be easier to take if he didn't brag so much, talk so much and so loud. LOL!

I have heard too many complaints, without running it hard.

It slowed down at Tulsa. Actually slowed at the Topeka Nats. I then thought that was the new rear gear I was trying.

Pulled the weight and throttle stop at Tulsa and it still only went 10.23. 4100' air, weather station said it would go 10.06. Usually runs what it predicts. Has run several 9.90s at Tulsa.
Indy is faster that Tulsa. Most places are. :-)

Took it most of the way apart, Probably should have pulled all the way down and had it honed. I hope I found the problem(s). Should find out this Friday. If it's still slow, I'm not going.

This is probably going to have to be my last year, unless somebody can find me a new body. I would really like a slender 30 year old version. With all it's hair. I don't know how much longer the one I have now can do this.

I don't want to get hp and go out with people mad at me.

I was just thinking SS/JA class was going to be a good one. Right along with SS/B. I know Ronnie was very, very impressive at the Class Nationals!!! Great guy and a bad ***** ride!
