Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
Well I had a front row seat for Adkinson and Warren heads up, I was in the water box as both left wheels in the air side by side. They didn't disappoint as both ran 10 flat ssomethings. I was fortunate enough to get by Mr Bongiovanni and round 3 we go!

Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
Running the motorcycles now getting ready for sportsman. Lots of talk about the heads up this morning around here and I see a thread is started. I don't think either one thought they were going that fast and I know Jeff was out of it haven't talked to Joel.
My opinion you can't get much more mineshaft than what we had this morning. |
Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
To James point about fast, Arana jr was north of 199 mph & Larry Morgan got his car to leave hard and was low for round 2, 6.477 north of 214 mph and on espn3 live tv trumps seeing the sportsman racing. :( Arana jr just went 199.88 in the final. Larry Morgan 6 on the lite,6.46 at the stripe, last won at Vegas in 2009.

Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
Thanks to all for the kind words and it was my pleasure to do it. As I said before this was my first National event and I had a blast despite the weather. I'm no Ms Patsy and I need to work on my picture skills but I did my best.
We headed out before the finals so congratulations to all the finalists. Great job Joel getting his first Wally and how about that Super Stock final, was that legendary or what? Would of loved to seen what would've happened if Fletcher hadn't gone red, and how many times does that happen? Another side note involving the heads up with Adkinson and Warren, we all know now how fast it was but after talking to some people there were quite a few that were going 5 to 6 faster than they thought that round. Myself included about 4 fast, tailwind and some of the craziest air any of us will ever run in. This was a huge factor in two really good cars getting horsepower and hundreds others across the country. I think NHRA needs to revisit the mineshaft rule because this run should've never affected all of these cars. Well that wraps up this race and I'm already counting the days to the Division 1 opener at VMP, see you there. |
Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals

Looking forward to more of your reports! Patsy & Larry |
Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
Thanks Dave, I've had the bug for many years just took a while to get here. Only 3rd race in the car so we are still feeling each other out, worst problem I'm having is still feeling for my button while staging lol. Best air I seen was Saturday morning early before 2cd round about-800 worst was almost 500 ft.
Thank you Mr Larry and Ms Patsy, means alot coming from y'all. I've enjoyed your reports for years so I was just trying to give some back. |
Re: Live from Charlotte 4wide Nationals
