Our third and final Q session for stock eliminator produced temps of 54 degrees, 79 percent humidity, and 29.17 BP. On my gauges the DA was 865 feet. For the first time this weekend the wind was not a factor. At 11:10 AM it is a beautiful day here in Indy. The schedule calls for us to run first round at 2 PM , however those of us in Division three realize that with over 600 cars the schedule is ALWAYS subject to change. A full field, 128 cars Including all the Mustangs, Drag packs, and COPOS was anchored by the former Teddy Yacavone Dime Rocket Mustang......Go figure !....M.J.

Dyno, schedule change had a lot of people confused on whether they would get a second run in yesterday. The stocker turn out was awesome though, 128.. Saw a lot of JR1 decals on cars. What's up with that?

Still a beautiful day here. 73 degrees. They have called up left side for pairings. Here are a couple of pictures from today:

In a way I'm glad that I have to stay home and stay off my feet to recover from my recent surgery. If I was I'd probably get in trouble.

Dose anyone know if Jay had cookies and coffee again for his TS and TD darlings

No matter how frustrated or mad I get attempting getting down the track, these 2 always remind me that in their eyes, I'm a "winner". And when it all comes down to it, that's worth a lot more than a time slip. Crazy how kids can easily puts things into perspective! :)

Love the Cobra! Is that an actual Cobra or kit car body?

Lane, I believe it's a Kirkham Motorsports body.

http://www.kirkhammotorsports.com/

The bodies are made in Poland at a former fighter jet factory.
I believe they shipped a whole car and it was reverse-engineered.

Nice car. Thought there was something about it a year or so ago said Stock requires an aluminum body which eliminated all the fiberglass ones. Then again wouldn't be the first time I've been confused! Thanks for all the reporting Patsy.

Bobby, the Kirkham bodies are aluminum, not fiberglass.
The owners, sent a whole body to an aircraft factory in Poland were they scanned and replicated not only the body, but all key components. The body is considered an exact copy of the original Cobra.

great photos, I just wanted to post that I was sorry I didn't get over to the other side very much as we stayed busy in our compound and I wasn't getting around the best , but when eliminations came around my father did try to wear us out, (which was a good thing, he went rounds). I'll do better at Norwalk.

Thanks, that is what I thought why there had been no fiberglass ones. Have some older friends who purchased a 289 Cobra shortly after they were married and they thought this car was a treat to see. They also had a '65 or 66' (?) Shelby Mustang, told me something about no kids allowed them to spend more!
