4:00 update. Stock R2 is done. It's going to be a while till we get to R3 - still working thru Sportsman R2 - then all the fast and TOP classes need to run their first round.

And yes Tony Goodman, it's going to be a long day.

6:00: several pair into TD and one of them rolls it in the lights. The track crew has been doing a good job getting these incidents cleaned up. A TS car had an incident earlier today.

We are on a tornado watch. One has touched down near Brownsburg. Huge lightning show. This gonna be big.

Mike, excellent reporting as always. It was a long day and a Tornado watch / warning will flat get your attention. A tornado touched down in Brownsburg which is very close to the track. When I left the track the local radio station was forecasting EGG size hail and damaging winds around the Plainfield and airport area. WOW !!

I left the track about 9:30 and the weather front seemed to have passed the track . It was interesting to see how quickly the remaining racers loaded and got out of the track. I drove back to Detroit in a strong rain. As of early Monday morning I've not heard what the plans are to finish the race . There are still a number of the faster classes that only finished one round of racing . I hope they finish up stock and SS at Norwalk.
