It's getting towards the end of the first qualifying session for stock. I don't know the exact number, but there are a TON of stockers here.

We broke a rear spring on the car so we are headed home to fix it and hopefully will be back in time to run class in the morning! I will keep you posted.

Mike he didn't get it fixed yet.

Well we are back home and Larry and Chris are working to scrounge up enough parts to fix the broken spring so we can go back to Bowling Green!

On our way back.

Left the house about 2:00 am. Had to rob parts off the Private Lee in the dark and in the mud.

Scared the deer pretty bad starting car up at 1:30.

A good bit of tire spin but Hebert managed to set the pace with an 8.53 and Paillot wasn't far behind at 8.59.

Last "semi-official" car count I heard was 585 including about 145 Stockers. Great turnout.

Sorry I haven't been posting all day. We are going on 2 hours of sleep, but we won class!! After getting back here and sleeping for a couple of hours, we ran class today. We had 2 of our high school friends (ladies) here with us today. So I have been trying to explain to them Stock eliminator! I don't think they understood anymore when they left tonight but we all had a great time!


Many thanks to Chris for helping Larry get the car fixed last night. Without his help, a class win today would not have been possible!


There ended up being 148 stockers and around 130 super stockers!


I took a few pictures in the Class Winners Circle that I will post later. Right now, it is time to get some shut eye!! I will try to get more pictures tomorrow also/

Congratulations to Steve Kent for the "Chootout" win with Reher Morrison power and thanks for the 11 guys that came to honor Big Joe and Tim. Team Southland Doug Fazz in the final with Kent was electric and fun to watch. Nitro, thank you for the "cat herding". Well it is a gorgeous day here at Beech Bend! It is 73 now going up to 85 this afternoon with not much chance of rain til after 4, so looks like a great day for racing! Super street has been called to the lanes, with stock on standby for the full field of 128. Then it is super gas and then super stock. With guests here yesterday, I didn't get to watch any super stock, so I am looking forward to watching today!

Cooter is fine! Just a little cosmetic damage to the car! But, boy, it was scary to watch! Thank goodness Brad Zaskowski left first and was already out the way! Congrats to Brad on the win.


Also congrats to Houston Raikes for his win in Stock over Craig Marshall. Houston, I believe, is only 16 years old and this was his first national event and first win!! Look out for this youngster! Looks like he has a great future!


We are going to stay here for a day or so and then on to Galot for us for the Division 2 points race. I will do a wrap up later with a few more pics!
