Being an old school kind of guy I like Mr. Jim, Mr. 413, and a green 427 Camaro out on the left coast. That's right its Joe Sorenson. His car was on the cover of the famous "West Coast Rulebook"

The paper Shelby might even be in the conversation.

The Wilkes power in Sams old car is very sporty.

J. Allen's new car did a fine job. Let him get a few runs on the car and then see what happens.

Fact is fact Mr. Jim did win Indy in 2016, but that was last year.

Mash the gas and go fast!

Almost forgot the Line green FE Fords

This is going to be good.

I like the way you think, Larry. Maybe we need a B/SA shootout somewhere???????

Yes he has John. He ran a 9.99 in the first round at Indy NO last fall when I ran 9.87 in A/S 3 pairs of cars behind him.

That Ford is fast for sure..

Worner, I said 3 hits, not 3 hp

It's obvious that you don't have a clue about the AHFS, incremental times, J Allen Sherman or anything else that you commented on. Try doing your homework and learning a few things before you make yourself look like a fool again.

Here we go. I will play the fool again
Car A & B both have the same engine specs.
Car A is in a more aerodynamic, fiberglass body and weighs 315 pounds less.
Car A is late on the tree
Car A can still get there without running 1.20 under ( would you like point out how foolish that statement is? Please use numbers in your example) but chooses to hit the brakes and not take the win
If car A does go get the win, and live up to the "baddest B/SA in the country" title portrayed on itself, then worst thing is it gets a 3.5% hit. Roughly the equivalent of 12 hp. I think there was a pink car that did it right in front of it
Please show this fool how I'm wrong. Can the car not incur 3 ahfs hits before it is equal to the HP rating of the exact same engine in the other lane? I have it all wrong. I'm the one who doesn't understand how it all works.
Only a fool would think that 315 lbs, with the same engine output, should have incremental times of 0.30 sec faster. But this fool does not know anything about incremental times

Your rationale is not correct!
There is more to aerodynamics than just an assumption. A small frontal area and nose shape does not make a car instantly fast.
I would like to know where you derive or the formula that 315 pounds less in weight is an instant -0.30 seconds faster.

Ummmmmmm.... NHRA standards
The difference between A/SA and C/SA index is exact 0.40 of a sec
If you were to move anyone of these B/SA cars from A to C, you would be moving 350-400 lbs
Safe to say, by the standard that we all race by, 100 pounds is about a tenth in these classes.
Hopefully that wasn't too complicated

Re: Who's the Baddest B/SA now?

Well Kenny you obviously like to run your mouth and race your keyboard so why don't you show up at a race with YOUR car IF you even have one and show us all of your infinite wisdom. I am not sure what you are even trying to prove you say you don't have a car in the class ? So what is the point ? You are definitely entertaining us and making us laugh because no one is taking you serious more like laughing at you and we would do it to your face but wait we can't because you hide behind a keyboard . Hmmm you have any class wins or divisional or National even wins ? You seen to just want to knock a fellow racer because you have some kind of stick up your *** but its ok because we are all out here doing it and you again are racing a keyboard god luck with that maybe they will make keyboard racing a class

To keep this thread on track, you can plant potatoes when the soil is able to be worked, though growth will not occur until soil temp nears 50.

As to a B/SA Shootout, sounds great! No clocks and I'll hold the $$. (It is rumored some of my friends, relatives, and/or associates have vast experience in such things.)

Continuing to respond to your incorrect assumptions is a complete waste of my time. If you want to see who the "baddest B/SA" in the country is, go to Indy and watch 20+ of the best run in class eliminations. That is, if you actually attend any events.

2 Attachment(s)
So we've been doing some thinking. We weren't able to make Gainesville do to last minute motorhome issues. But we feel we probably have the baddest if not one of the baddest B/SA's in the country, and we have someone who is willing to put up $2500 to run a best 2 of 3 with whoever wins going thru NHRA tear down along with fuel check. Attached is a time slip copy of when we were messing around at the end of last year (since we havent bee n out this season yet), we have the HP needed for a car rated more then most and we have a driver that we're pretty sure can leave first without turning it red, which gives us all the confidence in the world. I don't get on here much with my fathers health and just being busy with life but if there's anyone interested I will get the message if you leave it on here. I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes BUT there was two bad *** B/SA's who weren't even on the grounds in the mindshaft that was Gainesville this year. So please just say the word and we can set something up. (YES since my name is on the car I can speak on behalf of the owner, driver and backer)

What I think is if you want to know who's the baddest b/sa is go to nitro joes page I think it was done up in maple grove not in a mineshaft 29 baro not 30.20 baro

Re: Who's the Baddest B/SA now?

X2 Paul. The Shelby is fast, been for years. But taking time shots at MIR in November is not the same as running heads up at Indy or Maple Grove against the best in the country during race season. When that car is at the races the same time the other top cars are there that's when it will be relavant again. The driver is very good and the car is show quality, and fast. Just not sure in this day and age it can run with the best 396's or LS1's. If it ever shows up at a race again, I hope they/it can prove me wrong.

Re: Who's the Baddest B/SA now?

Indy is the great equalizer folks. Go to Indy at 3,600' and lay down a low 10 in B/SA. Test'n tunes and Opens in good air can not compare to the challenges of Indy. I'm talking real cars with racers who are willing to let it all hang out. The lanes at Indy will be full of good racers willing to do just that. It's like getting the Super Bowl trophy for your class. It puts the winner on the top rung of the ladder - until the next year. And it's about 5 months away.

If anybody on here thinks that Sherman was going to have his car anywhere near "on kill" in those conditions, you are some kind of stupid! Do we really still have people racing out here, or keyboard racing, that can't predict how fast your car will run in different conditions??? We must!!!! Smh.
