We have a rain delay, we were in the middle of first round Super Stock. The plan is to get the track dry and finish Super Stock and a few other classes. Its still spritzing a little, but they are working on the track.

Good morning all, it is a little damp this morning, but track prep is underway. The temps will be lower today with a little less humidity. All the classes except Super Gas had their first first round of eliminations yesterday. Alcohol finished last night, so the day should go quick.

Thanks Doug for the photos, great work as always. Start time is 9am with Junior Dragsters out first followed by Stock 2nd round.

At the moment there is a very sprinkle so we will most likely be delayed since it is overcast and quite a bit cooler this morning. It should be very interesting dialing when we do get started.....

I must admit I was a little baffled when they called today's racing at 11:30 this morning but as of 3:00 it is still drizzling rain. So it was a good move by the DD here today.

This was strange. I showed rain on my radar app yesterday and there was virtually none except for a brief shower at 7ish. Today, there is no green on my radar and it drizzles most of the day? :confused:

Same here blkjack, we kept looking at our phones all day wondering where it was coming from. Looking around the pits it looks like there will be quite a few no shows in the morning. It was really quiet around today as the most was just heavy enough that there was not alot of activity outside. I'll have an update in the morning first thing to let everyone know what it looks like.

I took these on Saturday. Billy told me it's been a race car since 1973, and is still in the same family. I was also told Anne Toews will be drving it soon.

The paint is mostly original, except the front fenders. It looks like the seats are original too.

Good morning, it is still overcast this morning but you can see daylight behind the breaks in the clouds. Looks like we should be ok with getting this thing finished. As I said yesterday its a huge weather swing from the last time we were on the track, me personally I'm freezing!

Jon, there is live stream today. I had to leave yesterday, but they will have a split screen setup today. Stock is just about ready to run 2nd round.

How about a little Monday morning racing. Sure beats working this morning. There was a delay after a few pairs went down this morning to prep the track again after some issues with the right lane. First pair after that had Santangelo spin pretty bad but after that everything seemed to be ok. They are up to Top Dragster now but things are going a little slow.

It's a nice change of pace being able to follow along at work on a Monday! Awesome heads up race between Adam Keir and Karl Martel, and now another one is coming up with Adam and John Gray!

Here's a picture of it as it came to my shop for a new roll bar after being stored since the mid '70's .
It belongs to Walter and Anne Towes and was one of the famous LAW Automotive fleet of bad a## Stock and Super Stock cars.
This one was originally driven by Anne and replaced her white '69 Camaro that was wrecked in a towing accident
I had to beat the Camaro collectors off with a stick when they saw it and wanted to buy it from Walter .
only had a few holes from the old Lakewood bar and the rear lips rolled under for the Super Stock 10" slicks . like Tony said ,almost all original paint and interior , Original top too !
