Your a good man Todd, thanks.

Here we go folks, this is what makes Indy, Indy, the sportsman racer.

They are up to 340 and still going, there looks to be another 100 plus rigs waiting to get parked. Hats of to the NHRA parking crew and staff. Its hot and humid, but they are moving everyone as fast as they can.

I'm sure the parking crew is working as quickly as they can, but one can't help but wonder why they weren't working yesterday, lmfao. I pulled in at 2:50, or I should say parked out on the road outside the gate. I'm #545 and am in line almost at the railroad tracks. Left home at 5:30 am and might not get pitted today. Sure am glad we saved a half a day of payroll. Oh well, it was only $380 to enter...X2...

Dan, not only did NHRA save on parking it looks like cutting the grass was also mowed down. Some of your competitor have decided to do something about it by bringing in their lawnmower.lol
.Good luck.

I guess you or the scales where slightly off at Sonoma, cause you know they will be right on at Indy.

Along about 1975 I heard Marty Barrett (former D 3 tech guru) tell a west coast racer that things change when you come across this mountains!

The actual line, and it was quoted by many other than West Coast racers, was that all of those fast West Coast cars lost a tenth when they crossed the Mississippi..

When we went, we took masking tape and sealed the trailer tight so that the horsepower didn't leak out on the way East...

I was going to ask what is all that green stuff?
Nothing like it at any of the tracks around here. If I get a chance to take my car there some day maybe I can bring my riding mower and make a little cash.

Yes I agree at Sonoma every time I came around it has higher and I took out 5 lbs by the end of the meet I was 20-25 lbs lighter. Now at Indy I am putting it all back. I am glad I went over to weigh it before tomorrow morning Q1 My weight box is bulging at the seems today.

We used to joke about the fast west coast cars slowing a tenth when crossing the mountains to get to Div 4. This was before weather stations. First time I went to Pomona with my '56 Chevy Jr Stocker, I almost fainted when I collected my first time slip. Learned to take some gear out next time. Picked it up some more. Same for east coast cars coming here. Dallas was our fast track then. We had no Fremont, CA or Atco, NJ. No Problem can be fast at times.

More photos from today. The last number I saw parked was 594, I don't know how they did it, almost 600 cars in 12 hours. Man those guys should get bonus for getting us parked.

We start at 8:30 am with Stock, all classes get two hits tomorrow.

We had a brief shower a few minutes ago, weather forecast shows no more rain until 2 pm. If you look at the radar it does not look good, lets hope it holds off for a few hours at least. I don't hear the track drier out as of now.

Q1 done for Stock, some fast runs as expected. It seems slower than the weather numbers, and it will all change tomorrow. The bulk of the runs are .9 to 1.00 under. I'm off to shoot Super Stock as Super Comp is running now with Super Stock to follow. Weather is partly sunny now, these are my weather numbers for Q1....

Temp 80
Humid 69%
water grains 99
vapor pressure .0667
DA 3310
wind tail 2-3mph

After Stock Q1. Paul Wong is No. 1 with a (-1.988) 13.512 in his V/SA El Camino. Bill Dyer's FS/K '10 Mustang is second at (-1.630).

128-car bump spot (-.776) Phillip Giles

47 cars are one-second or more under the index.

167 cars on the sheet.

Steve Wann getting it done in A/SA (9.840)

B/SA is brutal with Jeff Taylor, Jim Boudreau, Jeff Jerome, Bob Moran Jr. and Larry Hill all on the first page.
