I forgot to mention that during qualifying on Fri they checked quite a few carbs and manifolds and everybody checked out ok!

They are drying the track now and want to be back to racing about 2. No announcements about who is out first. Last night the schedule called for super street then stock. Don’t know if that has changed. Quite a few rigs have pulled out today. Don’t know if they were all ones who got beat yesterday or if they were still in and have to be at work tomorrow

Hope you get it in....not sure who has towed more miles this year, Darcy Clark or Cotten but I get tired just thinking about it.

Met Darcy at Mission last summer, he’s got one heck of a tow to race anywhere, and it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Gotta admire the passion for class racing and love the sound of the Max Wedge, in his case X2.

Well we are in to the 4th round!! But it will be finished at Great Bend in 2 weeks!! It just kept sprinkling rain and wouldn’t quit! We were planning to go to Great Bend anyway! It stayed cool all day today.

Our first outing of the year has been pretty good! It is like the pink car is trying to say you don’t need to ignore me! I’m still here and rearing to go!!

I saw Bo Butner here at Earlville having fun racing. We had 121 cars in Stock and could have had 128 plus in stock. Reed keeps the place real nice and every year it's better. I think it's a bucket list thing to race here just like Thunder Valley in SD or BG in Ky.

Thanks for all the congrats, but we still have to get thru next week at Great Bend!!

We couldn't make it to Thunder Valley. We are at NRC in Middlebury, IN getting some things done on the motorhome since we were this far north already.

Cooter, I couldn't help but sing"Put me in Coach" as I was reading these posts to Larry as we drove down the road today!!

As we were leaving the cornfields of Earlville this morning it was pouring rain. If it had rained that much yesterday, we would not have gotten anything in!

Doing normal maintenance on trans, oil and filter change, I found broken brake line on rear housing. Cause of failure; vibration and improper mounting. So now going into the fourth round I will have a new brake line and fresh brake fluid. And a test and tune day to make sure everything is OK.

Moral of the story, be safe and check you stuff.

We left yesterday to travel to the site of the first Nationals, Great Bend Ks. Got as far as west of Wendzville Mo. on I-70. We got lucky and pulled into a rest area at 9.30 pm and found a spot to park and put the bedroom slide out. I sure hope I didn't use all my luck on this trip in a rest area.

That's why I always suggest the drivers go visit the safety trap at the end of the track before running. Glad you caught and repaired it, good luck and safe travels.

Great catch although, if you're going to lose your brakes somewhere, Great Bend would be a pretty good choice.
