^^This is how you triggered it. No where does it state that the 2 triggers has to be in the same class, just that the COMBINATION has to make two runs quicker than 1.00.

So how does it average out? Add the average together from the three classes the combination can run and divide by three?

It doesn’t. If any of the three classes have an average quicker than 85 under, you get horsepower.

Ok I've turned from reporter to "investigative reporter". Maybe Ken will give me a raise!
I have spoke to the new owner of the car which is Al Brister, I don't think he will mind me putting that information out. It is a 1987 305 190/237 combination and the tech card was turned in as such by Willie Mylin the driver at Rockingham. Willie has been running his 83 CM car in the Open series here in Division 2 this year. This may account for why the information in the averages that were released last week look a little screwed up but they are certain the information on the tech card were turned in correctly. Willie being a little new to NHRA class racing didn't really understand how the AHFS really works and made a mistake by unintentionally triggering the combo at Rockingham.
Case closed!

If I had a combo “at risk” I’d be finding a car to rent for the Vegas Divisional. Or make a long tow...

So the 69 Nova 350/255 is looking at a 2.25% increase in hp if there are no more runs in F/SA..7Hp?

We hauled two 71 Demons across the country twice last year around
the end of year.......Not much fun although we meet a lot of good folks
in St. Louis in the rain and snow the last trip.

Jim it will be all for nothing if it goes mineshaft, no runs will count except -1.200 runs

Good point, just looked and it could have easily done that last year if just a few stepped up...

And the weather is very cool for Vegas this week. Could very easily be mineshaft.

A combo is reviewed when 2 triggers of 1 second or more
From what Pat told me at Maple Grove is 350/255 is in review ...nova
The combo is in review the class average was 785 at the time
The average in f/sa was 91. No one runs there. Ugly
I was told as long as no one hit it in again in f/sa the combo is OK
The combo average is what is happening now
I HOPE SO. We will see.
Now the 1969 camaro with 350/255 is in destructible,, triggered to death No Hit

Re: End of year Horse Power

Interesting the 350/300 is rated 286 and 290 depending on Combination.
Compression Ratio are 9:1 for 255hp and 10.25:1 for 300hp
350/255 is 280, 275 and 263 depending on combination.

Vegas is our home track......Very possibly could be Mine shaft
both the next two weeks. However, it may be pretty windy and often
a headwind at our track. Time will tell!

Yes brother I certainly did, don’t know why I still appear on the list? I haven’t withdrawn from Pomona as yet hoping it will be meaningful to someone if enough bail after Vegas...

End of year is after last race. I think reviews are engine family, platform based.

I see only one Dallas National event on the schedule....Oct. 17-20 and only one Dallas Div. race...April 4-6

I'm wondering ...is there a Dallas, Texas 2 event ?

First thank you Al Brister for straigthening out the "supposed cheating". My Brother turned in two tech cards for the weekend one for the lucas race and another for the open race looks like there may have been a mistake made in the tech trailer, but we don't what happened. As far as Willie being new to Class racing that is far from the truth. My brother and I grew up in classracing when or dad(Bill Mylin) race in the 80 and early 90s. My Brother has been racing since the mid 90s in NHRA and IHRA stock and super stock. I personally started driving my car in around 2006 in IHRA and I hope to have my new motor built by the begining 2020 season to run in stock.

Just my two cents

I don't think anyone was suggesting that anyone waa cheating they were just trying to clarify what combo this waa going to affect.. The comments about being new to class racing were my take on the conversation I had with Al because he told me this was probably the result of inexperience in dealing with AHFS.

I apologize if I came off rude. All someone has is there word and there name and I look up to my brother alot and don't want his name smeared or mine.

Understandable, from what I gather there were quite a few tech cards from the Rockingham race that got entered into the system incorrectly. Good luck on getting your car finished and hopefully we'll see you out next year in it.

Never meant that there was cheating involved, more of a concern of what the car was classified as. We run the same combination and was trying to figure out what combo you were actually running.

Lee is there anyone out west that runs the same combo that can sandbag it at Vegas points meet. Same thing about happened to us last year and thankfully Chris Ashley was nice enough to get it under control for us.
I typically try to run some slow runs in each class during the year to help protect it but I didn't do that this year since I didn't race much.

Not that I know of,only three racers I know of running this combo.

At this point I would have to say "No". Based on the quickest Qualifying pass and 3 Rounds here in Vegas this weekend the Class Average in F/SA should now be -.797394 which is well below the -.88811 where you left it after your two triggering runs and a weekend of going fast in F/SA at Atco.

You're welcome..... I prefer a good IPA btw 😉

Billy now we can talk you and James off the ledge. You in the front and him pushing you. I hope this year you both make a trip to Indy. I will pay the faster of you two at Indy $200. Don't have to race each other just the quickest qualified. You both have to be there in your Nova's.

Anyone else want to throw 25 or 50 in the pot. With these two there it will be worth the price of admission.

I will even throw in another $150 if you pit next to each other. That's 350 total from me enough to pay your entrance fee. BP

Oh now you care. Thanks Carl. Good to have friends out west.
Barry very generous offer. But that would mean Billy would have to grow a pair and travel beyond Atco. I will go but I will be in the way. I’m more into who gets to the finish line first
Time slip is too easy and I ain’t that fast.

Barry - The burger business must be very alive and healthy - all that plus one of our reporters offered an extra $200 - so the pot is growing .

I don’t think James is the next Fletcher on tour I went to more divisional races and finished a lot higher in the points then him . Yes James I always cared. But have to agree with Barry I don’t think I want my car in the other lane with you going by your driving record .

P.S. put the keyboard down and go work on your car ✌🏻

B Parker 11-11-2019 01:31 PM

Re: End of year Horse Power

Billy you don't have to be in the other lane. Just whom ever qualifies the fastest. Jack the burger place is doing alright just takes up so much time I don't get out much. So I look at the money I'm posting as entertainment. Plus they are both great guys if I make it to Indy it will be just that much more interesting to watch. LOL BP

So if Mr Williamson is posting $200 it is already up to $550 and it's not even been a day. Can we get this to a grand before Indy???

You don't have to post big money just $25 it will add up.
