We are more than just drag racers. We are at the track about 10% of the time.

CONTROLLING CORONAVIRUS
• If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold
• Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough and no runny nose
• This new virus is not heat resistant.
• Killed by a temperature of just 25-27 Degrees Fahrenheit. It hates Sun.
• Sneezing takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne.
• If it drops on a metal surface, lives for 12 hours.
• If in contact with any metal surfaces. Wash your hands ASAP with bacterial soap.
• On Fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. Normal laundry detergent will kill it.
• Drink warm water is effective for all Virii. Try not to drink liquids with ice.
• Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes.
• A lot can happen during that time. Like rubbing your eyes, mouth nose or ears, so on.
• Should gargle as prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice.
• Cannot emphasize enough and drink plenty of water.

THE SYMPTOMS
• It will first infect the Throat, so there will be a sore Throat lasting 3-4 days.
• The Virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the Trachea.
• Then enters the lungs causing Pneumonia. This takes about 5-6 days further
• With the Pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in Breathing
• The Nasal Congestion is not like the normal kind.
• You will feel like you are Drowning.
• Imperative that you Seek Immediate Medical Attention

Dear Supplier,

You DID do a civic duty.......Your perception of civic duty seems perilously close to yelling "fire" in a crowded theater. By asserting that the policies business must take to protect themselves in today's litigious society need to be applied to.....every.....single.....person's individual lifestyle. Based on the constant threat of litigation, business policies need to be based on an extreme degree of caution, therefore they must overreact.

And......since you can't seem to leave politics out of the conversation. Name One Specific Instance that the "Global Health Team" stopped the spread of any disease. Post your answer in the ******......this whole thread hasn't been about racing at any time and should have been locked somewhere before you could comment.

This thread is about the Coronavirus and what impact it will have on racing. Here's the latest news on the virus here in the states. The governor of New York just ordered the National Guard to monitor a quarantine perimeter that was just established around New Rochelle. Think this is a joke now?

I am almost certain that yellow cloud of nitro fumes at National Events kills any Coronavirus. As already stated the points meets would require more than two people for it to be transmitted.

Re: Next nhra Board meeting

Small and large events are being postponed/rescheduled or cancelled all together all over the country. It appears nhra will not have the authority to have the final word as to whether it should cancel events. Looks like the governors of the states nhra plans to promote events will be making those decisions for it.

Some of us "no namers" simply like to watch from the sidelines, eating our popcorn and watching the drama unfold by the real professionals. Extra butter please! :D

That's probably the best for you. There are folks out here plowing through some of these threads with absolutely no skin in the game, which may cause some confusion for visitors to this site. Take Tom Broome for example, Drag Race Central has never heard of the guy, and yet here he is just swinging away on this thread. It would be a good idea for folks to identify themselves as non nhra National and Divisional racers, even if they do not have the courage to use their real names.

I didn't know that you....or Drag Race Central were the final arbiter of the qualifications required to post on this Forum. I use my real name here. If you don't know me, that's my loss. Yes MY loss.
I apologize that I'm apparently disqualified as a racer because I don't have a current permanent number or any listing in the "interwebs".
I apologize to anyone I have assisted, at the track(s) or in the shop(s) around the country that since I'm not recognized as an "active driver". I'm automatically disqualified from being considered a "racer" regardless of any input I provide 'behind the scenes'.
I don't intend to be shamed off this forum by any one individual. If you want me gone.....That's what moderators are for.

Age 61, Stock 5725 (no national events yet), Super Comp 5768 (Scott Bedard, Driver) National Event and Divisional Competitor. If this situation doesn't drastically improve in the near future; the rest of the NHRA schedule could be severely impacted. I am planning to attend the Maple Grove D1 race in May, the Norwalk National event in June, Indy in September, and the Dutch Classic in September; but with the current developments, I will just have to wait and see.

Bill, I Agree. I'll bet that nhra will have a new addition to their National Event Registration forms, covering the Coronavirus.

Pacific Raceways in Kent, Wa. is NOT running the T N T this weekend. Only the chassis cert is being held with very low count for that I am sure. Also, the T N T scheduled for the 21st is on hold now pending further info. Check their website for more info.

I think this will all pass, but for now wash often, avoid large crowds and Pray for a quick end to all this.

Dan,
will we have a tear down before, like the All Stars race, or will it be after the race. If we are going to run for the standard bet of $1.00 we need to make sure everything is above board. My truck is still sealed from the 60th Indy race but it's easy to pull apart. I vote to race after we come apart.

It will be fun..
