Unk no apology needed. I we are all just sick of all of this stuff going on in our America and most of us choose to defender Her!

I feel proud that our NHRA is being American.

I watched a baseball game last week and just about every player took a knee?
I just can't believe that NHRA even with all the things they have done would follow......Imagine the starting line crew or safety safari guys doing this. Just can't see it. This must have been special circumstances.

Absolutely ridiculous. I am a racer, and also served 6 years in the United States Air Force. Not playing the national anthem is a disgrace, and it's an insult to all of us that sacrificed for this country. It goes against everything I believe in..

You guys need to read the whole thread before throwing rocks, Warren and Unk have offered a plausible/reasonable explanation/apologies. The matter is closed unless you want to beat a dead horse.

I have know Unk and Warren for a long time they are the best people ever and believe me there are Very professional and are very loyal to racers and Country so please this matter should go away. thanks

If folks want to vent about something other than the subject of the thread then they should start a new thread in the Lounge section. Don’t think Warren or Unk deserve this thread to keep stirring the same pot.

I served in 2 different branches.

Every time the National Anthem is played, the entire time I cannot help but think about all the service men and woman that lost their lives while defending this great nation.

Very simple. Americans from all walks of life gather in one place to attend a particular sporting event. It's an occasion where we should all be united and find common ground in something................... so we stop what we are doing, put our differences aside for several moments, and pay respect to our country's flag and national anthem.

Go to any VA cemetery for a funeral, and the respect shown by the Honor Guard will take your breath away.
The VA cemetery in Dixon, Ca. is a beautiful place.
