Steven I installed a couple of Eye Bolts on my AC pads and when I'm doing my Hurricane Preps I just put a couple of straps over the AC Units and it seams to work for me I don't know if it would have worked in your case. Stay Safe Kenney Kelley

I did the same. Not sure anything will hold in 150mph winds. That is a destructive force. I also just had a hurricane rated door installed on my house garage. I already had Hurricane rated doors on the shop.

Good idea on eye bolts, that will happen. I hear that new systems are working tropics. That would be TOO much. I went out to start working yesterday, came back in and made a memosa. Day of rest. We are hard at it today trying to clear driveway and fetch some floating dock parts out of the woods and swamp. Its a marathon not a sprint. This thread could go on for years. Just looked at the pictures. It could have been much worse, but WOW!!! I am sure other areas are much worse and you got lucky, if that even makes sense.

Prayers for everyone down there. I am sure that it will take months to fully recover from this. Good luck and hope you find everything.

Mike I put a Carrier Ductless AC Unit on our outside Patio recently and the pre poured pad we used was rated at 150 MPH. I guess the reason for the high wind rating was because the edges of the pad were well rounded not square but it looks ok and seems to work. Kenney

Thanks for the help. I am going to get some pics of Laura clean up. There are a billion 10 foot long projectiles cut up and laying around as the Parish trys to grind trees etc. Dont need any wind at this time. Mosquitoes are BAD!

These are pics of laydown yard for Laura debris from the small town of Westlake, my south and north ditch after 6 weeks of Laura saw work. Lost all pines but one, about a dozen nice live oaks, and two big hickorys puntured the RV shed right where the gap between stacker and toter. Blessed as racing and home goes. Shop, boat & B house and other structures toast. NOW to see what flys around. Delta at Dawn rescue kit also shown. Toddy Phish

Getting some wind and rain but not to bad so far. House angle NE 20 degrees so it is coming right down the river for now. Shop doors missing so that should be interesting. And 2 rare 66 hemi cars leave tomorrow for BC Canada. Waiting for that east turn. Phish
