In the finals of the Biondo Racing Products 2cd chance race it will be Dylan Biondo and Bryan Valentine in the final.

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

After racing with a malfunctioning throttle position sensor and holding .10 to .12 all day and got it fixed for the final, Bubba Linke wins Stock.

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Bryan Valentine over Dylan Biondo in the 2cd chance race.

Thanks for the updates and the live feed was great also. Any chance of getting the qualifying sheets posted? Wish work did not get in the way as I had hoped to make the trip up north.

Maybe we could have another race that is down south for the next one.

Congrats to all the winners and look forward to watching tomorrow.

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Good morning from day two of the Classracer Nationals. It's a cool and a little breezy morning which appears to be typical of here. Cars are warming up and Stock goes out first again this morning for their one and only time trial in a few minutes at 9.
Should be another great day of racing and I don't see weather to be a factor as we should be done before any rain gets here.

James and Doug,
Thanks for the great reporting and photos!

HR9121 09-13-2020 10:49 AM

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Unfortunately we had another possible engine failure this morning and considerable downtime for cleanup. Stock just finished our time trial and SS are in the lanes.
Peter Biondo is on the mic this morning doing announcing duties and keeping everyone entertained during the downtime.
As far as qualifying sheets, unfortunately they aren't able to print those so there won't be any but I will try to post the ladder after 1st round. It moves so fast with only 2 classes running it's a little hard to keep up.
One last note, Happy Birthday to Richie Decola today so if you see him bend him over and give him a good spanking. He needs it!

Dan Fahey F/PS '68 Camaro 396. Is that correct?

Ken Miele 09-13-2020 11:54 AM

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Q Sheets do not reflect IHRA cars... this was a last minute deal that many racers wanted to see. There will be some inaccuracies.

Well I finally won a round up here, you know what that say about a blind squirrel or something. It is an absolutely gorgeous day, as Jack Matyas would say a chamber of commerce day.
Hopefully we can hang around a while and make some rounds and enjoy some more of the great weather and view.

Sorry everyone I needed to hit the road before they got down to the finals. I know as we left we ran into some rain a few miles after leaving and I think it may have caught up with at the track. If anyone know anything feel free to post.

Started raining as the finalists were in the staging lanes. Sent them back and it stopped. Called them back up and it Monsooned so they split.

Jeff Tripp and Tim Fletcher in SS

Katie sepanek and longhany in stock

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Thanks Ron I know you're always tough so I was prepared this morning.
I'm a little disappointed I didn't get all the reporting in that I had planned. My intentions were to get pictures and post of all the cars. Early Saturday morning my wife woke up sick and by late Saturday she was in bad shape. I took her to the ER in Bloomsburg late last night and by this morning she was feeling a little better and against my better judgement she wanted to stay and race. They don't come any better than my wife!
I have to take time to thank everyone for their help. Shane and Sara Oakes for loaning us a vehicle and multiple offers for one by Bill Kennedy and Bubba Linke. Bubba also came to help when we got back to the track at 4 a.m. and found we were locked out. Ken Miele for coming out at 4 to let us in while in his pj's and Greg Rowe for staying with the girls while we were gone.
I don't want to forget a huge thank you to Bob and Penny Bender for watching the girls yesterday while I was racing also. All of you don't realize how much Crystal and I appreciate each and every one of you.
A few takeaways from the weekend, first kudos to the track staff. The track was on point all weekend and they all did a fantastic job. I don't recall seeing the first car spin or any trouble at all. They were all helpful and friendly as well. It's one of more scenic tracks as well and I'm adding it to my favorites list.
Ken, the boss, great job on putting together a great event my friend. Everything went smooth and you can relax a little now! It probably helped to have a great promoter in Peter there to get some ideas from but you put it all together and it was a hit. I hope we can do again next year.
On the way home I was thinking about our sport and it's still very much healthy despite the challenges we've faced this year. I'm so thankful for class racing and this website as well. It has afforded me the opportunity to meet so many great people that I am lucky enough to call friends now.
Last thing I want to say is thank you to all the sponsors and thank you to all the racers who came out and supported the event. I thought it would be a hit but you just never know and you guys showed up and Ken and crew delivered a nice event.
Hope to see everyone real soon!

That goes without saying, Dave was part of the "Orange shirt" gang and having him there was probably the smartest thing Ken did.

Re: Live from the Classracer Nationals

Speaking of shirts, did Ken have time to get any T-shirts made?
