Looks like the -'10 Challenger with a 345, rated at 300 HP will be 322 HP on Tuesday this week thanks to a 10.71 run in H/SA.

Makes it a natural G/SA car now.

Pending post technical inspection, assuming.

FYI. I just checked NHRA Racer records page and Dempsey holds the H/SA record - - 10.72 @122.97. Set at Belle Rose 11-21-20. Indeed a fast combo.

Must been a open race I guess. I wonder why it stayed at 300 hp with a 1.43 under run unless they don't count. Very fast for a OEM piston with a stock bore. Amazing!

If your wonder why my interest. I'm building this combination presently. It took me a while to get the piston approved. It was approved the last few days of January 2021. Other than that there was only a stock OEM available. I'm happy it will run well. I don't have the engine as of yet. Hopefully soon.

Summers and Cody Phillips were DQ’d but they were on the ladder so now they are re-doing the ladder. They have cancelled round 1 of super stock and super gas for tonight. Super street and super comp are running round 1 now. Stock is running tonight if they get the ladder figured out

Winning class was Santa Clause arriving early, Barry gave it to us. Looking at the time slip the cars are real close at 60’ Barry is +.01, @ 330’ I’m +.013, @ 660’ I’m +.002 but Barry is + .46 mph, @ 1000’ he is driving away +.012.
I need to work on my car and see if I can close the gap I the last half of the track.
Thanks to Felix Acosta for getting me lined up in the “sweet spots “ on starting line and everyone that sent videos of the car leaving the starting line. The videos are always a great tuning tool. Thanks again.

I have not seen anything that this is a National Open but I did see several places that mineshaft conditions were declared and that there will be no AHFS. Please correct me if I am wrong.

He was referencing a previous fast run by Dempsey's car at a National Open.

The Baby Gators is mineshaft, so none of the 1.00 under runs will count as triggers, but the 1.20 under rule still applies, so the Challenger will get HP next week.

Cody Phillips and Summers were both disqualified for engine infractions. Both cars went quicker than 1.20 under. So how long a vacation are they going to get? So if you worked on your car all winter long to get ready to race class at the Gators and get beat by a cheater, what should be the punishment?

If you go 1.20 under and drive by the scales, trying to cheat, horsepower is still applied. It isn't fair to other competitors that race that combination to have HP applied to that combination because they did nothing wrong. So what is fair to the racers that cheated racing these combinations?

So here are my thoughts. In comp eliminator they have personal indexes. In stock and super stock I would like to see Mr. Phillips and Mr. Summers have personal HP for 2 years. It would be like owning a record--in 2 years it expires. Give those racers that cheated the Hp according to the AHFS for how far under the automatic trigger of 1.20 under. This way, the only people they hurt are themselves. This starts after their time off finishes its course.

I believe that if implemented by NHRA it would generate two major results; help stop the obvious cheated up part, catch me if you can, to stop the addition of power, the building of new cars because there’s wouldn’t be as competitive with the new personal Hp.

The list of personal Hp would be short after the first few applications.

Thanks for the updates Larry. What type of engine infractions? Was it a teardown failure or something like illegal carb or something? Just curious. I don't have a horse in the race anyway.
