Woodburn divisional just turned into a dbl header, July 8-11 for anyone wanting to travel north.

Or south for that matter. Seems to be something called a border in the way.
Car hasn't ran for so long I'm not sure I remember how.

Now I know why my Sportsman buddies moved East. Move over Arnold Green!
Come over to Division 2 we can always use more racers at the races. We are racing a lot with very few restrictions. Would just need to get used to racing in humid weather.

So what’s the word on Kent Div/Nat races? Is it going to happen?

I don't think there is any reason to think it would be cancelled. Seattle, Woodburn, Portland, etc have been bracket racing very steady for the past several weekends, no problems so far.

Sorry Jim, sure didn't mean to leave our Canadian friends out of this conversation. Sure will be great when we can all race together again. Along with everything else, I'm sure missing the Mission divisional, I've always thought of it as the best race of the year.

Don’t let logic enter the equation….Sonoma is running right along with their special events. In two weeks BMW has the whole track rented for five days of driving schools. Think the Pros want to tow over two mountain ranges to run Seattle for their diminished purses? Doubt that…if Seafair ain’t happening NHRA wouldn’t be able to run the National there IF they wanted to.

Pretty hard to avoid mention of politics with the subject of races getting cancelled due solely to politics.
The places that don't buy into the globalist Agenda21 are business as usual and those that do (like here in Canada, WA state, California, NY and others) are locked down at the politicians mercy.

Drag racing does not spread any diseases, it's seen as something people enjoy and the gestapo wants all enjoyment stopped. Can't divide and conquer when people are happy.

Brink hit the nail on the Head, isn’t this the same guy that’s been trying for a 14sec time slip for several years and likely has done nothing to try to improve it. Just saying

GLENDORA, Calif. – The NHRA Pacific Division announced today a number of changes to events in the second half of the 2021 season. The continuing COVID-19 restrictions which have impacted us all since early 2020 have hampered our scheduling and as we move closer to gaining full release of these restrictions, we continue to work with our NHRA Member Tracks regarding not only drag racing events, but other events and opportunities that have risen to the forefront. This will unfortunately impact our Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series double-header events at Sonoma Raceway and Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park for 2021 and require rescheduling of those events, which in turn will also impact events at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Tucson Dragway.

The changes begin with the LODRS double-header originally scheduled for Sonoma Raceway July 15-18. This event will no longer work as planned in July and with limited dates available has required us to relocate the event to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, another Speedway Motorsports family facility. The date for that event will be October 7-10. This will also mean a change to the Tucson Dragway LODRS event which will now be held one week later on October 14-15 and include a single-day National Open race on October 16. The LODRS double-header event at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park is moving from October to its new date of September 9-12. This change will impact the Division 7 JDRL Finals scheduled that same weekend in Las Vegas which will now be held one week later on September 17-19.

“While it’s unfortunate to have to make changes this far into a season, and after how everything played out in 2020 with a busy fall, we felt these changes will least impact and benefit both the facilities involved and the racers attending our Division 7 events later this season,” said Pacific Division Director Mike Rice. “Division 7 is always the place to race for LODRS competitors at the end of the year and I look forward to the challenge these changes provide.”
trying for a 14sec time slip for several years

I was hoping to get my first 9 second run in California this year. But as Reinhardt announces. I'm a Stocker hiding in Superstock. Most division 7 tracks are altitude tracks. Gary could probably buy some light weight wheels for starters. Waiting for mineshaft out west is out. Spring time in Sacramento
might work.

I feel bad for the racers in California. I don't see any racing there for the foreseeable future with the leadership they have in place there. Best thing for NHRA would be to move out of Cali and get to a more racer friendly location.

It seems to me California no friend of drag racing, or fossil fuel. Only E-cars for sale for new cars by 2035 :(

People are trying to schedule vacations, work off time, repairs, etc and these calendar dates are critical to us for a number of reasons.

With regard to Gary's political remarks I completely disagree with nearly everything he says(in the political spectrum).....but I will fight to the end to defend his right to say it. This is not the right forum to have those arguments but they are indeed arguments that must be made....at the right place and time.

I also believe that a fool has a right to make stupid statements in a public forum. Is this the right place for that one as well? I don't think so. For now, I will just stick to bitching about NHRA. Lord knows there's plenty of material to work with.

Agree Brinks comment maybe not in good taste , not sure where it mentions race ?

Seems to me NHRA had not intention of getting political, politics came to NHRA, drag racing, and almost everything else in our lives. Sad :(

If you check the calendar on Pacific's website, the Divisional is listed and the Nationals is not. I am not sure what this means, can someone deny or confirm, thanks.

As we all know the Divisional brings very few spectators.

How would that help the Sonoma race or any other race that was to be run in Calif.?

I am stuck here in the left coast for the foreseeable future, and it embarrasses me to wonder what the rest of the country must think of us. We really don't breed for resale that disgusting class of foul, vile, politically contaminated breed of woman that comes from this state with the intentions of taking over the country. There's too many of them now, and they have gotten too far. They don't recognize the national agenda and the proper priorities for this great Nation, they are too infatuated with their own agenda of wealth, power, control, and authority to care about anything else. Don't ever trust any portion of da gummint to ever do anything for you. You won't recognize it or want it if you do.Blaming somebody else all the time doesn't work either. How long did the obamination blame Bush for everything every time he couldn't seem to do his job? I like to see persons with a goal take what they have, work with it, see improvements, and stay on top of it until they see results, like one member of this thread has done with his little red race car. How many round wins do the critics and complainers ever see themselves get with that attitude. How many Divisional races have any of them won? I love seeing the success of others who worked for it and deserve it. If something wasn't worth working for, then it must not be worth having in the first place. Gary, you are a real friend. I'm proud to know you and to say that. Nobody on this thread that knows you has any sympathies toward those who make inappropriate remarks that belittle others as well. He certainly never knocked you down a hundredth of a notch, but he sure threw himself face down on the floor. Keep at it and, incidentally, the Winternationals have been scheduled for Pomona on the weekend of July 30,31, and August 1. Hope to see you there!

Gary,

Hang in there brother, things will turn around, start by throwing that ridicules mask away and refuse to wear it, it is nothing but a symbol of control, fortunately I live in a place wear I am not forced to wear it and I have not put one on in months, and I do not own one. The vaccine, that is a personal choice I will not take it and will not take it period. I am 65 year old diabetic and I had covid last summer was sick for a few days, this BS needs to stop and the only way to stop it is stand tall as patriotic Americans and tell these ****es to pack sand. We would welcome you to Missouri, tracks have been open through out this commie scam.
