Norwalk; from my observation point every one respected our nation’s flag.
Just a good old National event.
Put it on your list I believe you’ll like it.

Mr Baden came on the loud speaker yesterday afternoon and ask us racers if we saw any trash if we would pick it up or sweep it up. And do you know what happened, we racers pitched in and helped.

Re: “Live” from Norwalk 2021

We are still here and plugged in on the pavement for the rest of the week! Comp and Alcohol have designated spots to park over here and Stock, super stock, top dragster and sportsman are filling in all the rest. New arrivals are to park in Linders Lot starting Wednesday at 6 pm. They will then move over on Thursday morning! Test and tune begins at noon on Thursday. There is a chance of rain all week but just like last week I am sure it can be dealt with!

Looking forward to another great race!!

Larry, just called and asked to verify that we could get in Linders field on Wed. after 6 PM. No one there knew if that was true. Only thing they knew is that I could get in Linders field after 8 AM on Thurs.

This is from the D3 Facebook page.

** Message to all Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser Racers & Crew **
We need your help… I’m asking that you please stay in your pit space and give us the necessary time to clean and reset the facility for the Cavalcade.
Both the Route 18 Summit Gate and Route 601 Budweiser Gate will be left open beginning Sunday, June 27, following the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals until Wednesday, June 30 at 2 p.m.
Monday and Tuesday, June 28 and 29, will be spent cleaning the facility (and specifically pit areas) in preparation for the Cavalcade Of Stars.
Our goal will be to begin moving teams into position beginning Wednesday, June 30 at 8:00am, sooner if able.
We will credential those remaining on property for the Cavalcade of Stars on Wednesday, June 30, from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. Credentialing will take place at Budweiser Guest Service.
Overnight stacking in Linder’s Lot will begin on Wednesday June 30 at 6:00pm. Additionally, the Budweiser Gate will be staffed for in and out traffic beginning at 6:00pm.
Credentialing will begin in Linder’s Lot for all new arrivals on Thursday, July 1 at 9:00am.

Re: “Live” from Norwalk 2021

Unfortunately, it's wet enough that they've closed it. An announcement is on the D3 facebook page.

Asking for a friend,
When did a AAR come with 383/440? I thought they were only 340 6pack cars with the fiberglass hood?
Again, Just asking for a friend....

It's NOT an AAR, maybe just looks like one. Running with a 440+6. Hood was "available" so can be used, spoilers too. Are you a MOPAR guy? I could sell you a ton of HemiCudas!:D

Re: “Live” from Norwalk 2021

This my come from under the heading of living the dream. We return from having a good meal at the Freight House in Norwalk, thanks Pete, only to find water in the floor. Did we leave the new vent open during the heavy rain storm, no. We’re plugged in with the A/C on. Now we notice a gurgling sound, not good. Bottom line a cut off valve blew apart and all the water that was in the tank is on the floor and underneath the floors. The silver lining is the water pump works very well and there is water available we just have to pick up and move to it. I find enough parts of the valve to tie wrap together without it leaking. It’s good to be lucky some days. Will get some parts for the repair. Now back to living the dream!
It test and tune day.

Re: “Live” from Norwalk 2021

To everyone attending the Norwalk divisional, were you able to use the online tech card link on the division website to fill out your tech card?

A couple people at NHRA worked pretty hard to get this new system up and running. This link should pre-populate all of your tech card info once you enter your member number and select your category on the first screen. It will pre-populate all of the tech card fields with the latest submitted tech card (in 2021) for that member number. If you have not entered a race in 2021, you will still have to fill out the full tech card. I believe the only field that does not pre-populate is the email address on the tech card.

We are wanting some feedback as I was one of the beta testers for this program. I know everyone complained previously about having to "re-enter" all of the info every time last year and this year. Hopefully, this alleviated some of those growing pains.

Austin, it worked great! Put in # and all the information was there! Even with signing waivers it was a 10 minute deal!! So much better!!

Well the grass side here is still awfully wet! Super cars are parked in staging and on pavement till around 1 when they are going to try to get them pitted. All other classes are pulling in Budweiser gate and parking. The weather is looking better so hopefully they will still be able to get test and tune in this afternoon!

The tech card worked perfectly for both of our cars. Love it!!

Still 65% humidity and big headwind so still not fast. We have made our 2nd run and are done for the day. There’s a clean up run later.

DRC is great, but they aren’t onsite for divisionals so everything is loaded once racing has finished each day.

Ralph,
Thanks. Relative humidity is not really good for much. Either Vapor Pressure or Gains of Water is much better.
