Good morning to all,
Thank you Ken for the Great pictures and coverage.
I know everyone is very busy, but if someone could put a qualifying sheet together for Stock and Super Stock it would be very much appreciated.
The Best of Luck to all competitors and have a Safe race.
Still "chomping on the bit" up here in the Bronx.

Respectfully,
Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA

Ken , great job on the photos and the video. Don't know how you find the time to do it all - amazing.

Question for you - How do you judge the finish line when you are going 74 m.p.h. faster than the other car like in round 2 against Eric?? - just curious.

Thanks Ron... sometimes I ask myself the same thing, I'm lucky... I very rarely have to work on the car,

Good question... Its tough to judge and I missed it big time, its almost instinct knowing when to dump. Sometimes its easy if a slow car is late or can't run the number. I did a poor job of driving, I was late... Eric was on time but he was going way fast. I think he was a .44 or .45 on a .55 dial. He dumped but only killed .059, only...lol. I dialed hard and my plan was to stick it, but I should of just let out of it as I was not getting there, that's what a good racer does. Like I said, I did a poor job, I was just as little luckier.

Super Stock round 2. We are done for the day, Stock is out tomorrow at 8:45am for 3rd round.

Looks like Vignogna was DQed according to DRC, so no HP hit?

Re: Live from Reading,PA - NHRA PEP BOYS Nationals

Why all the DQ's during class finals? I count 3

Any insight into the DQ’s?
I don’t have a dog in the fight, but interested to hear what tech found.

Lottig (FS/B) was light at the scales, per DRC.
I have no idea but am similarly curious on the other two!

Re: Live from Reading,PA - NHRA PEP BOYS Nationals

Vignogna's was cam issue, I think it was .005 on the wrong side.
Linke's issue was a head gasket, it was around.020 to thin.

So tear downs followed. Sorry for the DQs. They're all good guys and good racers.

Hi gang - Yes, I've a little lax but it's been a very, very busy weekend .First off give the Koretsky's their due - the place looks fab and things are running smoothly .Then their is the NHRA - even with less people to work with they are getting it done and done well .For quite some time we the Stock / Superstock crowd have been asking for more checking of competitors and although we hate to see racers get tossed - the NHRA tech folks are trying to get things right .

And then thanks to the fans , racers and crew people that are attending this race - this is only Saturday and the place is jammed .Downside is there is plenty of room in the fields to add another 10 or so to the quotas next year. This is a very popular race here in the Northeast and many good racers are shut out.

And then there was the fan who came by and took some photos of my car - he asked how much fun it is to drive and I told him it was plenty fun but spending time with friends I've known for decades is even more . Nuff said .....

Later ........

not a racer just a fan. after not attending a drag race since I was a kid when my dad took me to York US30 in the mid-late 70's. I decided to go to Maplegrove about 10-15 years ago. After the intial shock of top fuel , I fell in love with the sportsman, stock, and super stock and now I'm the person that runs to the beer & food stand when the pros run:D . I try to attend all the LODRS and Dutch classic event to support the true racers. Thanks to all the you grass root guys for keeping these classes alive.

Hey guys, another long day... but its been fun. I'm heading out tomorrow early so this is my last post. My teammate and sponsor Anthony Bongiovanni is still in, and hoping on the drive home I see him pull out a win in Super Stock. I have been on the road for 4 weeks, it will be good to get home. I will be at Charlotte next week with live reports, I hope to see you all then. Thanks everyone for the support and kind words.

Factory Stock Showdown qualifying.

Great to see the Koretsky family see a return on their investment.

So Bubba was tossed and George got to run first round? Am I missing something?
