Now most importantly what routes from the south are open to get to the track with all the flooding that has happened in VT?

I typically go up 93-89- exit 21 in swanton onto 78 through the Missisquor national refuge right on to route 2 to Rouses Point where we cross. Anyone know if this route is safe?

I89 was closed last week in Richmond Vt. (exit 11) for 2 days but has reopened. I have not heard about any flood damage from Swanton to the Rouses Point area. Most of the flood damage was in central Vt. and around my area. If I come up this weekend I'll go on Rt. 78.

As of now, Thursday is sunny all day, Friday looks like scattered rain, Saturday looks the same. Sunday looks really nice.

We will host the 10K race on the nicest day and come up to a solution which everyone can agree on, should Saturday get rained out. Perhaps combine the purses, run one race(still 2 Grade Points) and pay down further and more money to round winners? Idk, however we will discuss options with NHRA tomorrow once we are at the track. Safe travels to all.


NOTE: If you are unsure of your documents/ID to enter Canada, please call the Canadian Port of entry you will be crossing to speak to them. I know a Passport will work 100%; however I am not familiar with other forms of enhanced ID will, due to Canada not providing its citizens with such ID's. Tnx

The Casey's and the LaBrecque's are planning on arriving later tomorrow. I spent the last 2 weeks in VT 10 miles from the border. The weather man was wrong most of the time and always said it was going to be worse than it ended up being. Let's see what happens

Planned to spectate Saturday however last minute family obligation developed and can't attend this weekend ! Can someone please post some pics of Stock and Super Stockers there this weekend, thanks. It's tough being a grandfather sometimes.

Yesterday we received beautiful weather and a great day of testing.

Today the rain stopped at 8ish and we were testing at noon for about 3 hours until the rain came in.

Tomorrows weather looks promising and Sunday looks great for racing. The Brunet family has been working tirelessly to provide a great track surface as usual.

Seen lots of familiar faces and met a few new ones today. Hopefully more racers show up tomorrow; however the numbers so far are very positive for our first year back hosting the 10k race. :)

My Brother and I would like to sincerely thank all the competitors who attended. Given the forecast, we had a good turnout and great racing. Ron Morehead Jr. won the 10k race and Allison Doll won the Sunday race.

A huge thank you to the Brunet Family for giving us an incredible track surface. We had 3 hours of T&T Friday, Full race Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the parking was slightly unconventional; however given the forecast we did not want racers who traveled from long distances to be subject to getting pulled out of the mud and therefore tried to provide most of them with blacktop. Hopefully next year is showing a dryer weekend and we can pit all STK/SS Racers together on the tower side, should they prefer.

Next year Napierville Dragway and Gafftech Solutions, given the NHRA schedule, would like to propose the following:

Thursday: Free STK/SS T&T

Friday: $10,000 race #1

Saturday: $10,000 race #2

Sunday: 2-3k race and/or 10k rain day

The NHRA crew did a great job keeping it well organized and efficient.

As always the Brunets supplied an awesome racing surface.

Was great to see the US cars come up and have a great experience so they can spread the good word south

A BIG "MERCI" to Kevin and Sean Gaffney and the Brunet's family for their involvements and their endeavors. That "by racers for racers" thing will be one of the keys in the future success of the sport.
