Groundstrap My comment was not directed to you. You seem to think it's all about you and your opinions are fact..... My comment was general info and real business experience not opinion. My guess is you do not know anyone who makes products here in the USA. Maybe you should have an in depth conversation with your preferred vendors to get the real truth. Where do the circuit boards and components come from???? All of those components in American Made products come from Asia: China, Vietnam, India. |
Re: Battery Charger
call me ground strap to me face!

You have triggered "Groundstrap", or any other truthful name(s) others call him. He doesn't like to hear the real truth about himself. Then he gets all flustered & uses "me face!" instead of my face! Quote:

Re: Battery Charger
Is it me or is this thread getting awfully "political" and "threatening"?

Re: Battery Charger
Billy, since this thread started, 2 of the mentioned companies have closed. and 1 new one has opened. the new one hasn't said whether they will carry
the newest charger option.....wait for it...........THE GROUNDSTRAP!! J.R. |
Re: Battery Charger
Below is a truthful fitting name for "Groundstrap", also!
"Mr. Keyboard KAREN 1320" I think it would be catchier if it was 1320 Keyboard Karen. |

Well when you're a pipsqueak you have to be big on a Chineseum computer.
Oh BTW it goes back farther than that. |

Re: Battery Charger
Gonna try out my new El Cheapo Jegs battery charger this weekend. I'll report if the $60 unit is worth the moolah
|
Re: Battery Charger
all the cheap Chinese junk chargers work for some length of time, just not a long time. By design they are not built with longevity in mind because most Americans will buy junk over and over again rather than spend the coin on the good if not great American made product that will last a very long time. You could buy 8 of your $60 chargers and still be money ahead of 1 Interacter R/T charger.

Re: Battery Charger
Wrong, I ain’t hiding, most of the regulars here know who I am and I’m easily found at tracks in Div 1 throughout the season as well tracks in NC, Tenn and Indy!
|
Re: Battery Charger
LOL!
No hiding here, I can be found racing at tracks on the West Coast, North & Southwest, Midwest & East Coast! ;) Using my made in Mexico battery charger. :D |
Re: Battery Charger

Re: Battery Charger

Re: Battery Charger
El Douche aka imakehp aka Dave Kemblowski from DRR is a pathetic old man that ain't ever done shyt on the track and no longer races, he had a reputation of being a hack with 1 reviewer referring to him as a "churlish slob" when he owned The Balance Shop in Cali and his only reason for posting on Class Racer is to bait me while he attempts to hide behind a computer screen, scared to own your comments. He's a self proclaimed billy badass that never got respect in the racing community and clearly was bullied in school with that last name and he logs in to bait me on notification from 1700camaro aka B KING from DRR aka Bryan King who too is only here to reply to my comments. Two pathetic losers!

As for my screen name here or my real name. I've never hidden whom I was! 1320KeyboardKaren, keeps trying to make it know it all breaking news. My real name was put out on CR open forum in reply by me & in numerous CR PM's. Long before you got a clue!
The only one that's pathetic is YOU, Ed. You have consistently been a Keyboard Karen & whatever others refer to YOU as. On many different forums & rewarded with multiple removals or timeouts, including CR. |
Re: Battery Charger
That’s your goal here and all you have is excuses as to why you won’t show up anywhere I race where I’m a driver or crew chief and we know why, you're scared! No balls only mouth hiding behind a monitor.

This "Battery Charger" thread has about run it's course, don't you think? |

Re: Battery Charger
what a let down, another post today that is not about a battery charger, specifically made in the USA battery charger which the OP said he wanted, and I informed him of in Post #4 yet most that replied want to tell him how great their cheap chinese and mexican chargers are.
|
Re: Battery Charger
Spoke with a racer couple of weeks ago who purchased one of the $300+ battery chargers.
It took 3 to get one 1 that worked. Guess 3s a charm.... So much for outsourced components :rolleyes: My Mexican assembled charger has worked with no issues :D |

Claims an unidentified racer, purchased an unidentified $300+ battery charger that not only didn't work but it's replacement didn't work either. Meanwhile, MY advice and comments to OP who specifically wants a charger made in the USA, are about Interactor R/T chargers which are nearly $500 of which I have owned 3, https://i.imgur.com/iMuBfxHl.png private labeled Rock chargers over the past 7 years, the last purchased from ATI over 4 years ago https://i.imgur.com/FqkYTDel.jpg and each has worked flawlessly since day 1. https://i.imgur.com/ErXzSRXl.jpg Further they have charged our battery(s) between rounds on our way to a Divisional Championship, 2 Division Championship runner ups, 2 National event finals, a National event Win, Jegs Allstar, finishing #4 in the world, numerous, $5k, 10k and 20k Gambler race wins as well a $50k no split win and countless round wins. I sold one of the chargers to a friend years ago that had an immediate need and he still has it and loves it! I currently own 2, one for the Dragster which was retired from service on 6/10/23 due to swapping to a Lithium battery in the dragster and one for the Firebird and I expect they will continue to perform flawlessly indefinitely as these chargers have done for countless racers for DECADES, private labeled for Moroso!!! https://i.imgur.com/AVWDWUql.jpg Now what part of the TRUTH and the FACTS don't you like? |

Why would I mention names and manufacturers bringing those into this conversation who would rather not.... I stand by facts from others with actual experience, may differ from yours but still fact! No not giving names. My "opinion" (no less valuable than yours) is rather than buying a $3-400 assembled in the USA battery charger with parts sourced globally will just buy a second assembled in Mexico as a spare and spend the difference elsewhere in my racing program. Actually I carry 3 battery charges in my trailer for different reasons. By the way mostly nobody cares this is just entertainment. |
Re: Battery Charger
To get respect, you have to give respect which you haven’t so you’ll get none!
No one cares about your junk, battery charger or car! |

Re: Battery Charger
I don’t reply here looking for respect or to make a new friend, I have respect and friendship from many racers and manufactures throughout the country who tell me all the time they love my honestly and non bs replies. “You tell it like it is”
That said, you too only reply to my comments, not to offer your opinion to the OP’s question. Nuff said! |

Re: Battery Charger
Here is another option. Have had no problems, compact, charges fast.with many accesories.
NOCO battery charger. |
Re: Battery Charger
it's not, the OP stated USA manufactured
|
Re: Battery Charger
NOCO battery charger are the way to go. They are compact, won't overload, charge fast, has easy terminals to hook to your battery for an exterior port. Not a luncky box with a handle.
But hey, just throwing out other options. |
