Thanks guys, glad you enjoy. Don, I will see what I can do.

I shot a short video of what is going on in the staging lanes and some photos of Super Stock Class Eliminations. I also have an in car cam coming and I am on my way to the barn, to see how tear down is going, be back later...

Just went up to watch Super Stock round 1 of class. Boy is it HOT! I took some pics at the teardown barn, but there was a problem with my camera, so I will go back and try again. Round 1 of the Hemi-Shootout we found out is after the 2nd round of class. We will be there for that, too.

More later.

Oh, there has been a little controversy in the pits concerning the Barton run on Wed. The rest of the DP cars are upset and there has been lots of raised voices. Well the Gestopole(sp?) police came over to the Texas trailer last night with the intention of throwing them out for threats, but when they found out it was about the AHFS, they (along with Gracia) left.

All this could be avoided if they put the new cars in their own class and factored them accordingly.

Contractual obligations you know. Heard they were expiring soon, but not before the OEM's contaminated Stock and Super Stock.

I have been away for three years and haven't witnessed the catch-all class grouping before and I think it's BS. nhra can not be that hard up that they can't let the racers run for a trophy only if the sponsors don't want to pay for singles. Hell, it's the US Nationals and nhra should try to show even the smallest amount of class for this race. All the racers would have to do is check a box on the tech card if they were willing to run for a trophy if there were no other cars in their class. This outfit pinches the little guys for every penny while leasing corporate jets for charter flights at a cost of 20 times commercial airfare. Some day this will change.
