427 cu.in. and stylish as you could be in 64.

Not as fast as a Thunderbolt but waaaaaay better looking.

Pic #194 bottom car sure does look like a 64 Dodge called "Rigor Mortis" at York US 30. Owned and raced by a local undertaker.

I believe that car was ran by a guy named Hartenstein out of New Freedom PA. I've never seen a good photo of the car but I've heard of it. They still have the funeral home.

Jody, That be the man. Personal friend of mine. I believe he knows where the car is today and has tried to purchase it without any success.Were you there back in the days?

No, I wish I was though!! My dad was and has told me stories about the car. I've also attended many viewings at their funeral home.

I'm very big into SS/AFX history also and collect photos, magazines and anything else related to these cars from the '60-'66 era.

Is the car still in the southern PA area? Do you have any photos of the car?
