The "Choo Choo Hemi" was bracket car owned by J. W. Fitzsimmons and driven by his son Charlie "Brother" Fitzsimmons. They were from Chattanooga, Tn....hence the name "Choo Choo Hemi." This is the same Charlie Fitzsimmons who won stock at the Gatornationals this year driving Larry Griffiths Drag Pak Challenger. Charlie won Pro Street, which was a quick 32 bracket race, at the IHRA Southern Nationals in '78 and '79 in this car....and it was a '68. The car was later crashed by another driver at Brainerd Optimist Dragstrip when the rod pulled out of the master cylinder.
