What a mess! There is no proof that nhra is changing the indexes. And now we're getting into Ok boomer crap. Give it a break.

I doubt they will change the indexes but sure there will be plenty of excitement next week when they release the HP adjustments...especially if they hit 350 Novas :p But from looking at the NHRA registration website (looking at quotas specifically) they obviously mean to thin the herd some more at National events. One reason for not changing indexes is dealing out the low dollar/ starter cars. They really don’t want to run off too many and kill the cash cow (Divisionals). Also applies to stockers crossing over to Super Stock occasionally, would really hurt them.

¿

OK Boomer’ is an ageist catchphrase and internet meme that gained popularity throughout 2019, used to dismiss or mock attitudes stereotypically attributed to the baby boomer generation.”

For you racers getting ANTSY, just a few more days before the BIG NEWS comes out of Glendora. I like how they spring the news ONE minute before they leave for their XMAS break. One little tidbit concerns you E MAIL racers, time to get back to work on the car....your grammar and punctuation skills won’t be helping you after this year.....Let me be the first to wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS !!!!!

It's usually done on a Friday so no one's there to answer to complaints. It's basically the same reason that most companies fire somebody on a Friday. They figure it gives people the weekend to cool down.

Why can't the triggers be dropped from 1.00 to 1.2 for a look and instant from 1.25 to 1.45. It allows the faster guys to do just that.Go faster. If that is not enough of a drop, repeat the procedure next year.

Fire them on a Monday. That way they can start immediately on finding a new job and won't stew all weekend on revenge. Also, you get the most productive week ever out the the rest of the crew.

55 Chevy the best day I ever had in getting closer to the fast guys was when Atkinson and Warren raced heads up in Charlotte. Both went 1,20 under and the cheers were way louder than the groans. Raising the automatic mark from 1.20 under to 1.40 only protects the fast folks.

The 1.20 + cars loose sleep at night trying to figure the best way to win the heads up round and not take a hit. If you change the rules everything remains the same.
