None I am aware of. There are a few that have very minimal modifications or were racedd only a few times but I dont know of any purchased new in 68 and parked.

Daryl,

Do you (in all your research) perhaps have a list of "Original Owner" BO29 and LO23 cars?
THAT would be a neat list.

Darryl--- that is what I mean do you know of any car in existence that still looks basically like it did in 1968 --"factory original" type look I guess you might say "in an as produced " condition the way it was when they picked it up --- also do you know of any one owner cars or have all of them been sold at least once?? THanks FED 387

That list is very short as you would imagine

The first one that comes to mind is Chuck Comella
He still actively campaigns it today with his son Steve.
There is a BO29 that is owned by George Wiebec(sp) Still wears its paint from early 70s maybe earlier.
There is another BO that is white and is still in the family Al ........ I cant remember his last name
Then theres the LO23 of Pete and Jake Toms. It is still with the family of OO.

There are prolly a few more but none I can think of

Yes, kinda of like that. Paint was blue and white though.

Couple more photos. The photo with it paired up with the hemi dart was from facebook. The black and white photo is from Mrs. Gross when they got the car back from Tom Proffer. Last photo is car today. Please give Mrs Gross photo credit on black and white photo if you repost.

[QUOTE=Charlie A;559900]For the Hemi Dart forum, any idea who the Dart is?

According to Steve Detar that is his dad Ted Detar in the Dallas Hemi. Ted did the motors for the car and other hemi super stockers too(plus lots of funny car/AFX stuff). Ted was out of Wichita too. This was taken summer/fall 68 before Ted died in a racing accident later that year.

I have seen and posted pics of the Dallas Hemi but never seen that one.

Perhaps the white one is Al Adamic's "Al's Toy" out of the Cleveland, OH area?

I posted a few photos of Dave Raybourn's "BO29 code" Barracuda on the Hemi Shoot Out Facebook page yesterday. This is the same car that Richard Beshore won the 2002 Mopar Hemi Challenge at the US Nationals.

These two photos are from the 2008 US Nationals.

What real cars does Bucky Hess have? I know his 1st car was one of the originals, don't remember whose he said it was. I believe his later & current 'Cuda's are recreations. Thanks!

First time seeing this car. Anyone know who this is? I know it says Carlton & McDade on the door but above the name, if you look closely, it looks like it says "built by or prepared by".

It's great to see that car again.
Does John Friel still own his Dart?
If so would it not be great to have both displayed at Indy?

Re: Original Hemi Cuda Info.......

Last I knew, Anthony Rhodes owned it and it was driven by Stephen Yantus. We owned it for a short while in the early '80s. Mark Janaky has the history. Scott Hutton sold it to them. I think he bought it from a doctor in Tennessee who bought it from Steve Bagwell. He bought from Frank Barnett who we sold it to. This is all to the best of my recollection. Sorry if any errors.
