Herb, I would say that tech needs to have the integrity to tell the racer to put up some protest money or leave the teching to the officials. I have seen Smith and Olynic (never could spell his name) do that on several occasions in the past. Also saw Olynic(sp) give out the worst %$# chewing I think I ever heard and threaten to disqualify a racer for looking over his shoulder at the fuel check sheet. |
