$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ from Toyota helps as our american industry is almost broke?????

Julie Jordan needs to rethink and reword absolutely nothing.

Once again everyone is entitled to their opinion however you two are basically saying all men from the mid east are the same in so many words. How much do you really know about their culture? You can't generalize a person based on what their culture does, not everyone follows suit. So for you to say she should be uncomfortable around them is a out of line because you or Julie don't know the owners/partners in Al-Anabi racing.
I try to give everyone a fair shake and not judge then by their "culture". So let me get your's and Julie's thought process correct using myself as an example; I have a friend who has several Confederate Flag's on his vehicle and tow vehicle, should I as an African American be uncomfortable around him because of this? this is basically what you said that because of the way people in the mid east treat their women she shouldn't be comfortable. If I missed something let me know.

Because Alan Johnson's owns the rights to the mold for Toyota just as John Force does for Ford and Chevis out of money and who knows what the deal is with Chrysler. The Big three is strapped so why run something that want pay you or assist you? Running a Big three make doesn't make you more american or put money on the table.

If the guys a racer he's ok by me! Gotta admit, he doesn't mess around, he went out and got the best so he could have bad fast race cars! Not to mention he's giving alotta people a job. Thats money coming back into the US economy and even better in Drag Racing! I bet their dragstrip in Qatar is pretty nice! Maybe someday IHRA will have a national event there :P

P.S. I'm not so sure I'm liking the idea of some foreign sheik owning a race team either. Don't think I'll be a big Dixon/Al-Anabi rooter this year.

Congratulations. You and everyone else who shares this opinion are a little bit racist. But since it's middle eastern people.... it's embraced on this site rather than shunned.

You have no problem with the swedes that were in Pomona running a funny car, no problem with the brit or the german (i think urs is german..... someone correct me?) or that john force is sponsored by Castrol... which is owned by BP.

Your only problem is with the fact that someone from the middle east is footing the bill. So you obviously have some sort of racial bias toward people from that part of the world.

Qatar happens to be an ALLY of our country. Maybe you ought to do some reasearch.

I will give the Sheik some credit
I did not see any Stickers on either of his cars.
He's not racing for the money,The guy loves Drag Racing.
I have heard this from a friend of mine who crews for Mike Castalano

Maybe he could buy NHRA and save us sportsman racers

..the intent of my post was to point out the seriously awkward moment when Gerould was telling Larry he was not going to be in the "show"...That was sooo ****ed up ..his team didn't inform him this was the only chance to qualify, do what you can to get from A to B..he had to learn about the qualifying format change from an ESPN commentator...New team chemistry blues. It's no secret they will have success this season and so on.

The rest of you all just calm the **** down before someone gets their feeling hurt. :)
