Smokey,
I hate to be the one to inform you that you need to do a little checking around & do a little research about my accomplishments & what they are & what I stand for. You might need to re read my post & look at how I placed my self in that group of NHRA racers. Why could that be? Because I'm one. I am only calling it as I see it. It's a free world you have the right to say what yo want. but when you say something about me & try to pass it off as a fact, Then you had better get your facts right. And on this one you are way off base. Adger Smith |
>> For nothing is correct Beard ! Lets not forget these were IHRA accomplishments.
-=yawn=- You used to almost sound like you knew what you were talking about. Lessee... Adger Smith, #1 Qualifer at Rusk, Noble, Shreveport, and had set a record at Montgomery. And Smokey's credentials are... -=yawn=- Yeah, pretty much. Wanna-be heckler. I don't have a stance on Adger's opinions at this time, but for somebody(?) to try to tackle his racing background instead of his opinions is both laughable and pointless. For myself, I'll take the wait and see stance at this point... Doesn't effect me directly. Question for Smokey.......who must have smoke in his eyes and can not read the Dragster. When has your picture been in the digger?? We see much smoke in the digger but not yours and never your face. I have seen Adger Smith's picture in the digger in the last 12 months along with his RecordS and # 1 or 2 at Div. races and National races. Also he knows more about running a drag strip than you ever will, seems he has owned a Few. Maybe you should listen when someone you dont know speaks before you put your foot in your mouth.

Smokey knows alot more about NHRA than you think boys. |

Pls advise what issue(s) of the "digger" these pics are in. |
Fred I will do that, first chance I get . The picture I believe it was at a Div. 4 race at Rusk, TX last year and Mr. Smith was holding the # 1 award check in his hand. Most of last year and the year before he held the SS/BX and DS records NHRA , once both at the same time. He has not run this season as his health and work at his shop have kept him from going but he will return and reset his records. You can count on it.
PS I am speaking about NHRA, this dose not count any of his IHRA racing which are about the same. bp133 Bob Pagano |

That's why I expected some intelligent input from him... Maybe we can move past the playground BS and talk about how this will help Sportsman racers -- something concrete? I think that's all anyone's looking for. I understand that it's early and the deal isn't even done yet, but if someone is going to state 'what' it's going to accomplish, people are also interested in the 'how's and 'why's. Agder, your accomplishments are not that impressive and you do not stand for much when you make negative statements about current NHRA racers. I was at Rusk last year and there was no Adger Smith running.
Like I said, you are an old disgruntled racer that is not racing so he has no right to dis-respect NHRA racers that are out there running. Michael Beard, I agree with you, but it is hard to sit by and listen to pesamistic fools such as Smith that got no idea of the facts. |
Not sure whether to yawn or laugh...
Try again... <u>http://www.nhra.com/content/sportsman_news.asp?articleid=13348&zoneid=85</u> But congratulations on having made it to a race track. Michael Beard <u>Staging Light Graphic Design & Printing</u> Duck Tape/Loctite Racing H - I - J/CM '80 Volare 360 Magnum |
...and oh by the way... Sportsman racers all dare have opinions, regardless of whether or not they set records, qualify number one, win races, or even win rounds. There are far more racers who don't have these 'accomplishments' on their resumes than do -- but they ALL make up sportsman racing.
Where do you fit in? Michael Beard <u>Staging Light Graphic Design & Printing</u> Duck Tape/Loctite Racing H - I - J/CM '80 Volare 360 Magnum |
